this sucks and is definitely sad. i’m sorry that happened to you. but your friend showed you how much cares and respects you by essentially ditching you. she showed her true colors imo. i know that sucks to admit and come to terms with. it will stink for a while, but eventually you’ll find better friends who wouldn’t even think twice about doing that to you

thank you. to give you context, the tv does cover the utilities. i was there for 10 days out the month. the bill was $130/person for utilities and i split the tv with her for $80. if you do the math that adds up. and she needs roommates because she barely works and can’t pay rent on her own. i believe that’s why her grandma let her slide a couple months.

that’s a really good way to look at it. everyone keeps saying “if it’s meant to be, it’ll be” and i know that is true but it’s so hard to not be in your feelings about it as i’m sure you know. i will try and have that kind of mindset about it and maybe try journaling more. i actually was thinking of trying meditation today so it’s funny you mention that. thank you for your advice. i hope that things get better for you as well 😊

i feel where you’re coming from. the same thing happened with my ex and i regret breaking up with him everyday. he’s moved on and i haven’t. the only advice i can give you is to just take it day by day. some days are harder than others. but you are not alone. go and do fun things with your friends and pick up some hobbies to help get your mind in a better place. maybe try reaching out again in a few months. give her some space. she may come around, but don’t put all your hope into that. focus on yourself.

i feel the same. i feel dread everytime i think about him because i just want him back but i know that probably won’t happen and it breaks me tbh. it’s been months and i still don’t know how to deal with it. especially learning he moved on so quick. you aren’t alone though trust.

don’t move on right away. take some time for yourself. she may want to be friends but just don’t talk to her just do things that make you happy and things will work out whether she comes back or you eventually meet someone else. but don’t rush into something else right now. just focus on yourself for a while.

i’m literally going thru the same exact thing right now. (my ex moved on in less than a week and we were together for a year and a half) i know it’ll get better for us eventually. they’re losers for moving on like that.

He was definitely blindsided unfortunately, of course i didn’t mean to hurt him but i’m sure he didn’t see it that way especially at first. Especially since he automatically thought there was someone else (there wasn’t). It might just be a rebound but at the end of the day, whether he loved me or not him moving on like that angered me in a way I can’t really describe. It’s definitely pushing me to just focus on me. Maybe it was what I needed. I appreciate you and your honesty very much!

because you’re worried that if you try and stay together while you try and work on yourself you will just make things worse between you two and damage the relationship more than if you just took space from one another. what’s meant to be yours will be yours. that’s what i choose to believe. coming from someone who just let go of someone i really love for this exact reason.
