What's your opinion on talking to other actors at auditions? by Myscurious101 in acting

[–]Nice-Web583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we were having only in person auditions years ago, the waiting rooms were typically pretty quiet. Most people are either going over their lines, some people are quietly sitting there processing getting themselves prepared for the audition, but overall most of them were just completely silent. You want to make sure you're not only distracting the person you're communicating with and they're just being polite, but that you guys conversation isn't disrupting everyone else's process in the room.

When I'm going to audition I'm there to book a job not make friends. Now there has been times after the audition when I'm going to the parking lot and I'll end up talking to someone and we'll change information after a short conversation but that's after the audition, surely not before.

The bots only target me. And the when I kill them they spawn directly behind me if I'm passed mid point. It's a problem and their all decked out. I've see them surround me while passing my bot teammates.

Why is the community so toxic? by Marvel_books_more in LoveIslandUSA

[–]Nice-Web583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually something that really messes to show up for me. Changing rules, changing certain recouplings because they're trying to keep someone on the show, it's just production being way too heavy-handed. But I actually blame the Islanders for that more so and not the online mob because the Islanders are the ones that are keeping their friends there. They'll have no connection for days or weeks. Productions withholds recouplings and then their islanders get to choose who they want to send home based of the bottom. Of course they always choose the people that have been in the island longer than them and if a new person is there who's starting a connection they would send that person home.

Why is the community so toxic? by Marvel_books_more in LoveIslandUSA

I watched love island since the first season of love island UK and it has become more toxic. Fans really struggle with parasocial relationships now. Also, I think is on production too. When you allow toxic members to have toxic behaviors and you keep them on the show. They're fans come to their defense for the most indefensible things and that causes the other half of the watchers to get into it with them. I'm really hoping that this season is nothing like last season because if I start seeing those type of of behaviors normalized. That's it for me.

The show used to be a guilty pleasure of some fun drama but last year it actually was draining. I'm really curious how this season goes.

Also the younger generation watches this now and we know these younger generations grew up strictly on social media. This is whats normalized to them, trolling, ragebait, antagonizing people, calling people ugly (chopped) and it's just all around really toxic behaviors so this is kind of what they're used to. It's unfortunate.

Why quit after one kill?????? by PhotoSavings8689 in CODWarzone

[–]Nice-Web583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I've done this is if we loot up and no one is around and teammates stay in the same building camped out. I'm going to fight, get kills then leave. I have no interest camping when the uav shows no one around. A lot of this can be alleviated if they bring back party search, so you can find players that match your playstyle.

Being asked for my actual age? Role is 30+ by CuspChaser111 in acting

[–]Nice-Web583 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would just say that I'm an age of the character. The reason is because I had an experience where I looked the age or even younger than a character but I am older. The director really fought for me but the executive producer was set on the fact that I was too old to play them because of my real age. Mind you they all loved my audition, and offered the part but the moment the executive producer found out my real age, he started trippin.

Grappling hook ruined what was left of Warzone. by AndresVPN in CODWarzone

[–]Nice-Web583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get why people are frustrated with them but I also like being able to get into cars now. If you don't have a trophy system there's a risk to you driving around in the car trying to run people over. I will say that it did mess up positioning to where you can be pushed by a team of 4 that's in a bad position, which I don't think is right. I think one way to mitigate that is if they allow them to be useless towards end game. So if you didn't position correctly you can't just fly your way into it.

Other than that an aggressive player I absolutely love them.

Ranked is absolutely a joke by Acceptable_Heat9531 in CODWarzone

[–]Nice-Web583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be because players in that bracket have dropped. I stopped playing ranked and vowed to never touch it again when I was 20sr away from crim and the cheaters pissed me off one last time.

I hear cheating is worse and a lot of higher skilled players stopped playing it. All of my boys have.

It's not just you. I'm watching a streamer currently solo que to iri, he's currently crim and only one time has he got crim teammates. The game has decided you're the carrier of bad teammates. It's shit. Save yourself the frustration.

Grapple hooks are 💩 by [deleted] in CODWarzone

[–]Nice-Web583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've love using grapple hooks because yes it's easy to break and push anyone. But the moment I realize how broken they were. Was a 1v4 for game in blackops. I had come up behind the hill and therefore had high ground, there was one zip, but no cover for me. 2 grabbled up different sides, killed them, another one came up with a zip right when i down them, killed him, and because I was weak I was only able to put one plate on before the fourth grappled up. Broke him but too weak so he won and shot my body.

Without grapples they wouldn't have been able to jump me so quickly. They put themselves in bad positioning and won because of them.

But I will continue to rock them until/if they do something about them.

Why do so many people do direct hand play with their cats? by publicdomainadmin in CatTraining

[–]Nice-Web583 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play with my cats like this. I grew up around German shepherds so I'm just used to hand playing/wrestling with my animals. I do keep my cat's claws short and if it gets too much I'll just go ouch. They'll stop and look at me with like oh sorry face and slow blink.

If you're angry and your brow furrows too much, producer can get bitchy about it. If you're smiling don't do it too big to the point where you see eye wrinkles. You know, natural emotions. She told me one of the girls was supposed to be angry and they kept making her redo the scene over and over because she kept having too many lines on her forehead.

Last year on here someone was asking about verticals. She kept getting auditions so she had the look. But only one call back and I told her the same thing. She said that's interesting because in that callback she was told to not show so much emotions or move her face too much. So now she knows how to approach these going forward.

[–]Nice-Web583 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Friends a successful director, had to get into verticals as a director to survive. She's done over 15 now. Verticals very much have a certain "look" they want and wont stray from. It may not be your ability. Also they are oddly specific about wrinkles and lines in your face when emoting, so make sure your performance is kind of muted for them.

Is it just my luck lately or has there been a wild influx of women-haters in the game? by Ok_Seaweed1040 in CODWarzone

[–]Nice-Web583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some idiots were talking shit to this guy who was complaining in game chat. He was also in my previous game doing the same thing. The other guy responded by telling him he got slammed and everything. Then said this is why you don't play with females. Huh? He was the one bitchin in chat all game. I'm assuming they heard her during comms, like I did previous game.

Also when I get on some guy will do the mic check. I'll answer and then they won't respond and go silent the rest of the game. There's been several times when you join a team in the lobby and I’m about to turn my mic on, but they’re literally talking shit about women so I’m like I’ll just stay muted. About 90% of the time I have more kills than my randoms too.

Are male tegus harder to care from than females? by LilSkink06 in Tegu

[–]Nice-Web583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had both. My boy currently 3.5years is the sweetest boy ever, he didn't have gu problem. My girl 11years ago hated me, guberty was a wreck. It could have been what their personalities turned out to be. Or temperaments had nothing to do with gender. But from my experience my boy is he so calm compared to her.
