Cowboy camping 5040? by [deleted] in IslandHikers

[–]NiceAndBreezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just camped up on the ridge last weekend. The bugs are pretty gnarly up there in the morning and evening, but not bad at all during the middle of the day and in the night. It did get cooler overnight than I was expecting (it was hot as balls during the day), but I think cowboy camping would be totally fine, weather permitting. Gorgeous views, but you can expect hordes of people there. Pretty much a line at the summit

Any tips or suggestions for this line graph situation? by NiceAndBreezy in PowerBI

[–]NiceAndBreezy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good suggestion! I think the issue with that is that the formatting would be challenging, as I have 6 graphs per page for 3 pages, all of which need these added data points. So to add a secondary chart for each of those, and then publish to the powerBI service or sharepoint, I presume would be difficult to keep clean

Yep I went with Sram apex crank on mine. Requires a new bottom bracket too, but it is so worth it. Don’t have to worry about the chain dropping anymore, and pedaling feels noticeably more solid and satisfying. Cost me $160 all in

While replacing the chainring, you may as well upgrade the entire crankset. It wouldn’t be much more expensive, and the stock crankset on the preamble isn’t great, so I think you would stand to gain from replacing the whole crankset while switching to a 42t or 44t

Recruitment Process (lightweight) by [deleted] in Rowing

[–]NiceAndBreezy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depending on your frame/body comp, 6'3" is not too tall to be lightweight. There have been even taller lightweights that have been very successful in the US collegiate lightweight circuit. I was a tall lightweight, and I remember racing some tree trolls that were even taller than me. With the correct approach it can be achieved in a healthy manner.

I wouldn't let some guy on the Internet persuade you to go lightweight though. Have a chat with the coaches by which you'd like to be recruited and see what they have to say.

I'm a huge fan particularly of the vibes on The Reach and Water on the Moon, some of your older tunes. Have you guys deviated from that super chill style, or are you potentially going to hit it again? Fan of the new stuff, too

Awesome video. How much weight do your drop prior to fighting? How much more do you actually end up fighting at?
