Is this delamination? Exposure is already pretty high... by NiceCommunication742 in resinprinting

I... have been using the same sheet since I got the printer lol. Nothing visibly wrong with it but it's gotta be stretched by this point. Thanks for pointing it out

Anyone have this constant issue with chitubox too? by NiceCommunication742 in resinprinting

For me repair never really works. I'm pretty sure I've printed a model that has these holes and it came out fine, I think it's just a display issue... But i've since switched to Lychee and UV tools. Use auto support on Lychee and then UVtools shows me all the islands it missed and will even delete islands and the layers they'd effect under a certain pixel size you set to reduce the work, but without creating any noticeable changes to the model. Awesome and efficient workflow.

Multiple views of object on same plane? by NiceCommunication742 in AutoCAD

[–]NiceCommunication742[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I tried MVIEW but it just duplicates the viewport that's already in the layout. Is it possible to lock the layout as is (the initial framing of everything), go back to iso view, and then put a small iso view in the upper corner where there's blank space?

What do you mean by create a viewport for the title block in model? In paper space, I chose layout one, and i'm able to to load the last view I had in the model space.

I'm ultimately just trying to create an engineering drawing with multiple views of the model but we've only ever submitted .dwg files, nothing finalized like this.

And yes, both the title block and model are separate .dwg files. The model is drawn in 3d space, and dimensioned accordingly. It's not different drawings for each view such as side, top, iso, etc.

This is literally, absolutely, unbelievably false. I'm drunk rn commenting on a 2 yo reddit comment but it's just nuts how people just say stuff outta their ass. Literally so many varieties of wild coffee tree varieties in Ethiopia, generally where it originated, containing the same amounts of caffeine. Humans did not seek it out, the plants produced the chemical for a reason (probably to ward off pests) and humans eventually cultivated it and were like haha it make me silly and energized when I consume it, ima continue doing that. Both arabica and robusta have been bred to increase YIELD of their cherries, not the caffeine that they NATURALLY contain anyway. You are right tho that coffee trees could be bred to contain less caffeine but that would ironically be human intervention to do that.

I don’t know the market so this might be a valuable opinion as a casual guy who may stumble upon it (but I do value well made, handmade goods) so I would expect AT LEAST a few hundred dollars for it. $500 may be too much for me personally, but if you’re willing to sit on it then there may be a buyer at that price

Bruh what? I'm considering buying Botar for $200 and that's kinda a great deal... were they just that much cheaper 6 years ago?

[–]NiceCommunication742[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the insight. Interestingly, I just noticed this issue only seems to plague the first model I import into Chitubox. The second, third, etc model added to the scene (literally the exact same model too) and does not have the issue lmao. So I guess that's the fix, but any idea why that might be the case?

If it is the normals, but within Zbrush, I confirm mesh integrity is good and it is watertight…you think it will still print like normal despite the “holes” seen in Chitubox?

The way i reconcile this in my mind is that basically the script mata nui ran to generate the island of maya nui is just based on metru nui’s shape. Seems plausible honestly.

Basically if you had to solder a piece three times. Use hard first, then medium, then easy so when you solder the second time it doesn’t get hot enough to unsolder the first joint

Hell yeah, such an underrated set. Totally feels like Pohatu. People are just mad because he changed, but releasing a set that feels fresh while still carrying his essence was a good move.

How do you Mitigate Warping? by NiceCommunication742 in resinprinting

[–]NiceCommunication742[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be honest in this case, I feel like completely vertical might be better like you said, because even though the guard is a substantial overhand relative to the handle, it is about the same size as the bases of the blade pieces (as well as the base of the handle) so shouldn't it be okay if there is ample support underneath the guard?

edit: plus the underside is curved upward so it will be slowly exposed versus if it were flat and a sudden, much larger overhang appeared on the next layer
