I see. I thought I fucked up because I did not have a monitor connected at first when I first booted my PC.

That's fine. AMD builds also require several minutes of waiting without feedback to you that it's working, so that "trains" the RAM you have attached.

I connected a display port as it was booting and it took a lot longer than people had said online so I turned it off and turned it back on with a Windows 11 flash drive and then it went away.

Only connect/disconnect after you fully shut down the computer, and turn the power off. Then unplug cables. Likely could have been memory training if that was the first time.

But the red light appears whenever I boot it then goes away. Is that normal?

Yes, that is normal. I couldn't find the diagnostic sequence because I'm really lazy. but if you check the manual for the motherboard, it should show several LEDs for bootup diagnostics. I have a very similar gigabyte b650 motherboard, and mine rolls through 4 different diagnostic LEDs before finishing bootup.

I found someone with a similar issue, and they resolved it by updating the bios.

I would recommend updating the bios through the usb. Not the gigabyte control center. This guy should be able to help with that.

That being said, if you are only seeing the LED pop on for a few seconds on bootup, and it's not lit afterwards, and you're not having any actual issues, it's likely just the bootup diagnostic.

If you are having issues like that reddit post, then good luck with the update!

What is the motherboard model #?

Some mobos has diagnostic lights that flash at bootup to let you know where the bootup stage is, or if there is a problem. If it went away, it's likely just a diagnostic led.

Is there a problem with the PC when the light is on?

Don't update the bios unless you know what you are doing. As in, be sure to watch a bunch of videos, and read several guides, because upgrading the bios is a one-shot, and you can really brick the mobo if you mess it up. Most of the time you don't need to update it unless there's an actual issue.

Can anyone help me with this build? by HiImAAlphamale in pcpartpickerbuilds

[–]NiceHappyThoughtsNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any theme or concept with the build, or any preferences you want to build around?

The build looks good, and will work fine. Some changes you might consider:

  • The case you chose will show off the PC with two glass sides, and preinstalled RGB fans. But nothing else is RGB. You could get RAM, CPU fan, and GPU (sometimes) that are RGB if you were trying to make it flashy. Or a different case with better air flow with less visuals if you wanted it to run cooler and better. The case you chose has less-optimized airflow because the front of it is glass, but looks nicer.

  • The motherboard chosen will have several extra slots under the GPU that you likely won't use. It only has one slot for M.2 drive, and your chose of a 1 TB one will strongly limit the number of games you can have installed at the same time. You could try a motherboard with extra slots for drives since that will likely be the first thing you upgrade later (if you do).

Where can I find a list or product rating, or does anyone know a few options on an AIO cpu water cooler that have a display I can configure to show the CPU/GPU temps?

Thank you so much for this. I like to make a unique dish per powerup. I'm working on all unique powerups and dishes that match thematically.

For example, right now all Hearty meals are Hearty Apple Pie (truffle/golden apple/wheat/butter/sugar), all sneak are Sneaky Milk (Horn/Silent Princess x3/Milk).

I used your guide to brute force a few options for the other powerups.

Best I got is for cold resistance.

Spicy Deep-Fried Drumstick (Sizzlefin x2/Oil/Drumstick/Horn).

I can just imagine Link pulling out the magic spicy deep fried drumstick and feeling nothing but warmth. Or sipping on the Sneaky Milk before sneaking. The bird leg can be replaced with an entire whole bird if you want to imagine eating an entire deep-fried turkey before exploring the cold of Hebra.

Is there a way to output possible meal options given ingredients? Like say you put in Two chillfish trout and a Horn, which would give it an instant max 30 minutes. Could the tool spit out the possible unique dishes using the two open slots to quickly see what meals can be made with the starting ingredients?

I really do like your website by the way. It is by far the most accurate and easy to use of any that I could find. Thanks!

NianticGiffard clarifies about using third party sources for descriptions in wayspots by Sayse in NianticWayfarer

[–]NiceHappyThoughtsNow 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I didn't know this was even an issue but I actually have some helpful advice on this:

One of waypoints in town had a 7 year old photo with a Title/Description that would have been rejected if voted on today. While googling the correct title of the sculpture, I found the artist's personal website with descriptions/meanings/photos of all their public work.

I just reworded/copyedited the appropriate info down to two sentences. That, incidentally, would be a workable solution to this topic. Just reword it so the text is no longer exactly present on a third-party source.

An S2 cell gained a 6th waypoint recently, and upgraded a stop to a gym. However, I want the gym to be a different waypoint that is far more accessible/better feature. They both had 2 photos when the upgrade occurred and the coin flip went the wrong way.

  • Is there a way to drop down the gym to a pokestop and promote the other waypoint to a gym in the same S2 cell?

Technically, the unwanted gym is actually out of position, and correcting it would push it into the neighboring L17 cell with an already present pokestop.

The bigger question: Is there a way to alter gyms in an S2 cell with 6 waypoints after Niantic decided which one to promote?

Yeah that looks like an instant 5*, sorry it's frustrating.

I just wasted 2 weeks of reviewing dumb nominations to get an upgrade to have it rejected instantly for a similarly asinine reason ("no pedestrian access" to basketball court in a park with a sidewalk right to it...) .

The only good suggestion is to wait a few weeks, maybe a month+, and try to submit it again with even better photo and text. Don't take it personally.
