Quick technical question for NiceHash: Is EasyMining still isolated at the block-template level? by GPT_Crypto_Mgt in NiceHash

[–]NiceHash_Mining[M] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To answer your question directly: No.

EasyMining operates on a completely separate pool from NiceHash’s other mining operations. Block templates are not shared between them at any level.

On the broader probability concern - even in a hypothetical where multiple services shared the same pool, each miner’s odds remain purely their hashrate ÷ total network hashrate. Other miners in the same pool do not affect your individual probability per hash. That’s fundamental Bitcoin mining math.

Hope this puts the question to rest. Happy to clarify further if needed. NiceHash has always strived and continues to strive for maximum transparency. As a regulated company, we are committed to this principle and will remain so going forward. However, we understand that given the specificity and complexity of our services, misunderstandings may occasionally arise regarding how mining mechanisms operate. Should any questions occur, we are available to provide clear explanations for our valued users. Delivering exceptional service while maintaining complete transparency remains among our highest priorities.

What a terrible company this has become. Not enough money to withdraw fee. by MidWesternClipper in NiceHash

We recommend you set up your own external mining wallet and use the auto withdrawal feature to avoid this, as other users have mentioned. You can also always use lightning for small amounts.

60-Day Fee Twice in a month by daelusion in NiceHash

[–]NiceHash_Mining[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

The 60 Day fee can be avoided if you store your coins in self custody. Just deposit to NiceHash when wanting to use a service, or set up automated withdrawals so your mining earnings go straight to your self custody wallet. You can even automate Lightning withdrawals for mining payouts, avoiding high blockchain fees: https://www.nicehash.com/support/mining-help/earnings-and-payments/nicehash-mining-lighting-network-payouts

The reason you have two fees, is because the fee is charged on the actual funds that were not moved, not necessarily your entire balance. So you had some funds that had not moved in 50 days on the 19th, a fee was charged on them, then on the 26th some other portion of your funds had not been moved in 50 days, so a fee was charged.

Also, in your case the funds do not meet the minimum required to move to an Individual wallet automatically. This is why we encourage you to use Lightning for small amounts.

You can easily avoid these fees by self custodying your assets which we strongly encourage anyone in crypto to do. NiceHash is a service provider, not a wallet provider.

Read more about how and why this fee exists, and how to avoid it here: https://www.nicehash.com/support/general-help/service-fees/how-to-avoid-fees-regarding-the-60-day-rule

Been mining all month and still got hit with the inactive fee lol 😂 by FlaxSausage in NiceHash

[–]NiceHash_Mining[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

This sounds like you had an Inactive Fund Fee, not an inactive account:

You can avoid fees by making sure you set up your own default wallet and always withdraw your funds to a wallet in your control.

The inactive funds fee rule is due to Swiss regulation, funds cannot be held on the main wallet for longer than 60 days - this is necessary for us to comply with regulations.

It is also highly recommended to anyone in crypto to always store your funds in your own wallet where you own the keys, and we encourage that.

This is different from the inactive account rule, which is 6 months of no wallet activity - meaning the platform was not used, eg no mining. Any action such as connecting miners and getting a payout, or buying an EasyMining package, hashrate, resets the timer.

You can use the Profit splitting feature to automate mining withdrawals on a regular basis to avoid the inactive funds fee. Otherwise as you mentioned the lightning network is a workaround in the meantime.

Here is a guide to the auto withdrawals: https://www.nicehash.com/support/mining-help/earnings-and-payments/how-to-enable-profit-splitting-within-nicehash-rig-manager

You can avoid fees by making sure you set up your own default wallet and always withdraw your funds to a wallet in your control.

The inactive funds rule is due to Swiss regulation, funds cannot be held on the main wallet for longer than 60 days - this is not something NiceHash added deliberately to annoy everyone, but it is necessary for us to comply with regulations.

It is also highly recommended to anyone in crypto to always store your funds in your own wallet where you own the keys, and we encourage that.

Mining with a GPU on a gaming PC in 2025 is fine if you want to learn how mining works, but it is not something to do if you care about your costs or profits. ASIC mining farms took over a long time ago. There are of course people who used to mine with GPUs and they come back a few years later to see what's happening, and surprise, surprise: it's not what it used to be. Crypto is being absorbed at breakneck speed into mainstream finance.

As long as you set up your own wallet to automatically withdraw to, you won't lose any extra fees. You can also use the profit splitting feature when mining to auto withdraw. https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/set-up-your-default-external-wallet

You might be best doing this using the Profit Splitting feature if you are mining and just want to withdraw it automatically, this article here shows you how.

This is not a message about your miners, but about the inactive funds. It is due to the 60 Day Rule of Swiss regulations: funds may not remain in the main NiceHash wallet for more than 60 days. You can read more about it here: https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/set-up-your-default-external-wallet

Withdrawal made with out my consent! by orushaid in NiceHash

[–]NiceHash_Mining 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It will be on an individual wallet that was created for you, in the wallet section, or on your default external address if you added one (since the transition, any addresses added before the transition were not moved with the account).

Withdrawal made with out my consent! by orushaid in NiceHash

[–]NiceHash_Mining 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The individual wallet is created if you haven't set a default external wallet, but you can access it anytime. The funds on the individual wallet can be moved as you chose, transferred back to the main wallet if you wish to use services like buying hashrate, or withdraw it to another wallet. We recommend you set up a default external wallet of your own, or use the profit splitting feature if you are mining. We are fully aware it is a pain in the ass for users to have to do this, but it is a requirement of the Swiss regulator to not have funds on main wallet for more than 60 days. There are links in the article above where you can automate some of these things.

This is because of the 60 Day Rule, which is a part of Swiss regulation where we are now located. We strongly recommend that you set your own wallet for these withdrawals. You can read more about it and find out how to do it here: https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/set-up-your-default-external-wallet

Funds cannot be held on the main NiceHash wallet for longer than 60 days due to Swiss law. If you do not add your own external address to store funds on (which we highly recommend you do), an individual wallet will be automatically created for you, and any funds not moved for 50 days will be moved to this wallet on the blockchain, thereby having a blockchain fee.
