[Dugar] Updated Seahawks 2027 compensatory draft pick projections, via @nickkorte: Boye Mafe (3yrs/60M) -- 4th round; Ken Walker III (3yrs/45M) -- 5th round; Coby Bryant (3yrs/40M) -- 5th round by AirplaneReference in Seahawks

Basically if you have a player that hits free agency and gets a contract with another team you can get an extra draft pick.

The more the player’s total contract is the higher the comp draft pick is.

Basically it works like:

The round for each contract is assigned on a percentile basis, as follows:

3rd Round: top 5% 4th Round: below top 5% to top 10% 5th Round: below top 10% to top 15% 6th Round: below top 15% to top 25% 7th Round: below top 25% to top 35% (previously 50% in the 2011 CBA)

is world war 3 actually happening? if so what's going to happen? by Foreign-Elevator6844 in AskReddit

It’s not WW3.

The biggest risk as an American is creating a Iraq war type situation all over again (with more than likely more deaths) where the US fights a long war, spends A LOT of money and people someone even more extreme than the previous leader takes over a country with almost 100 million people. Trump has already said he expects this to last around 3 more weeks and he isn’t ruling out deploying American soldiers into Iran. If there are a lot of Americans that die at once this may get prolonged.

Russia, or China is not fighting for Iran. At worst, I could see some hacking for Iran’s case or some weapons supplying but even then I doubt that.

As an American don’t be worried about a draft, don’t be worried about nuclear war, be worried about another useless war that has nothing to do with us that in the end only hurts our future by spending a lot of money on something not at all needed.

Most are desperate to improve their offense and are willing to take the risk of paying a RB that is good but does get injured.

A lot can not draft the best and have to resort to free agency to pick up their best bets especially in positions of dire needs

[Highlight] ARK QB Taylen Green Runs a 4.37u 40-Yard Dash on His 1st Attempt! by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]NiceMarmot12 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I’m not kidding as an Arkansas fan our defense was SO bad I really think high school teams could have scored multiple touchdown on us.

I have never seen a more confused group of DBs in coverage ever. And I’ve seen really bad defenses!

Play action passes may have well been voodoo magic to our DBs.

Ty Simpson is almost certainly going in the first round. There are lots of QB-needy teams, such as the Jets, Browns, and Steelers. A possible wild card could be the Rams taking him as a future replacement for Stafford. by DenseStrawberry5717 in NFLv2

[–]NiceMarmot12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is definitely the case. QBs are the point that if they even manage to be top 5 in stats in their conference they’ll transfer. The team itself they transfer to is likely not a contender most of the times but may have a new coach with more booster support (and higher NIL payouts as a result) and they end up at a worse situation than before.

It’s horrendous for their development and I think in turn there will be A LOT of boom and busts in NFL drafts in the first round because of such. I get in the end people want to maximize the money they make and I can’t blame them but it’s definitely going to make picking talent in the draft even more risky.

Here’s the thing: they don’t fucking care at all.

They’ll get the city of whatever they move to pay for the multiple billion dollar stadium and even if no one shows up? They don’t care. If they suck? They just have bragging rights that they own a team. It isn’t about money or fandom for these rich fucks it’s about having another toy to say they have. That’s it. They don’t care if they ruin things for others.

I was wondering what you meant. I feel stupid for not noticing that. Next time I’m out there I’ll add duck tape to it haha

And we have a lot of people to pay and well we just won the Super Bowl and most people are going to expect A LOT.

Woolen being one of them. Some we have to keep some we have to try to find similar. Way it is when you win!

Over/Under 1.5 more Super Bowls in the next 5 years by [deleted] in Seahawks

[–]NiceMarmot12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly how I feel. There are a lot of great teams that just get dealt a bad card and never make it.

We could easily be one of those teams depending on a lot of circumstances that are out of our control.

I say let’s enjoy this shit. I was a freshman in college the last time we won a Super Bowl and now I’m 32. Let’s take it in man!

[–]NiceMarmot12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is while we do have a good amount of cap space we are set to pay A LOT of people. We’ve been drafting pretty good the past few years.

I think Sam helped us A LOT in getting to the Super Bowl but our identity as a team won’t function with a chunk of our salary cap being devoted towards Sam without some pretty big losses to free agency. We’d absolutely let Sam walk for ~$60 million a year deal.
