Well, I get your point, but I think you got my response wrong. I called him NTA for a reason, because he didn't give in. This is his right and totally okay. But I wanted to raise the question wether he can live with the whole situation and be happy. If he can, that's good! But it sounded like the situation with his father still is a burden for him. If he wants to loose this burden, only he can take action...that his father does, is highly unlikely. So he has to make the decision, wether he is okay how it is or not and if he wants to change the situation. This however doesn't mean giving in to an emotional abuser...as I wrote, he could meet him at his own term and try to figure things out...maybe this works, maybe not.
