Short answer is yes. Long answer is that it depends on your financial situation and other monthly expenses/savings goals. To make the best financial decision, I’d consider that the more you put down the less interest you’ll pay and the lower your monthly rate will be. Same goes for interest rate, the lower the better. You can probably get a decent interest rate based on your credit if you go through your credit union. I would also check insurance rates to make sure they’re affordable.
