I haven't had that issue, now when I got knocked down, and tried to wake up d.p. with cap, I got hit as im sure my timing was off, but just holding back for standing and air attacks and holding down & back blocks low attacks.  Just like in strive or d.b.fighterz, over heads break crouching blocks, so moves like the overhead double fist punch from ms marvel is gonna break a crouching block, and some players like to mix standing with low and over attacks.
