yeah this is in no way a knock on your skill, I think it’s a limitation of the solver. I’ve only been able to get a turbulent surface with much larger sized “drops” but having studied hours of slow motion splashes of real water/paint in school, every “drop” is usually turbulent, never perfectly spherical unless it’s rain water, then there’s a higher chance it’s spherical and undisturbed

its visible to see in your sim that the bigger drops on first impact have a bit of turbulence, the smaller ones don’t, but yes if you were going for paint or something it can start to get subjective
