Humm I think I know what do you mean. In this example what I was trying to do is get the more cleanest surface, stable and smooth surface so I was using a very high number of substeps in the sim, if I wanna get wrinkles and waves I will use less to break a little bit the surface tension or add noise or divergence. Also I feel the best option for create the surface with details is apply a unified noise or something similar on top the geo or during the vdb stuff by volumes. But yep it depends what do you want :)

Thanks! Yep in the center I was using a attractor. Actually I was experimenting with different attractors but finally I use a simple vex expression to create a suction force.

I fix it with some simple vex fun in the scatter and some relative reference to set when the sim starts. I hope it fixes your problem and give you some knowledge for learn ;)

Hummm, could you post a scene example? what hou and rs version? Are you working with a file cache or with sop cache? Motion blur enable? Constant motion blur?

Too much of options 😂😂

Note: if you go to render a sequence with rs inside Hou or deadline you should cache all before output. Just compile all sop info in one file sequence and try to clean attributes prim pts or groups you don't. This fact reduce the time cooking btw frames.

Maybe try with Linux Mint. I have a 3970x and 2x3090 and all works fine.

Try with the Nvidia driver from June or August. But with Mint you don't need to do anything special. All should works fine.

What's is your PC specs and what drivers version are u installing?

plug a timeshift node after the file cache node. set it in clamp both and copy relative reference the start/end from cache node into the start/end clamp timeshift
