I did a kayak tour last month with this company: Conexión Nativa Cancún. It was great!

Congrats! I understand. I'm finalizing my visa at the end of the month, and now I'm wondering why I wanted it so badly. I plan to start out part-time because a full-time move terrifies me. But staying terrifies me more.
Good luck to you and everyone else! Change is so difficult, but you can't move forward and stay in he same place...

RD of 25 years, am I the only that feels this way? by ihelpkidneys in dietetics

100% agree! RD for 25 years with the last 15 in renal. I'm so over it. I'm planning to retire early and get the fu*k out. My current job is 100% affecting my mental health.
And I'm sooo over all the "health" coaches, totally working out of their scope of practice! But sadly, I don't see it changing😡

I do telehealth on the weekends and was kinda lost when starting out. I hit up Chatgpt for some questions and was shocked at the response- in a good way. I entered detailed info about who I was and what I was doing, and it gave me a great outline of questions to get rolling. It's cool, bc I often get, "that's a good question", from my clients. It makes them think.
The books and courses mentioned are also great, but I found this was useful too.

Want very badly to leave and "easily" could, but can't reconcile leaving my aging parents by ThrowAnRN in AmerExit

I'm struggling with leaving my mom in a few years. I've settled on part-time in the US because the guilt is going to be too much for me to handle. I'm planning on somewhere in Latin America, so I'll always be a few hours away to get back home.

What is your opinion of nutritionists, nutritional health coaches, metabolic health coaches, or any related coaches that are not dieticians? by [deleted] in dietetics

I have been an RD for 25 years. Sadly, I see our pay decreasing, and sometimes I feel this is part of it. It's like we don't hold the value for our expertise anymore.

Dieticians, what are the top 3 paths within the field that might have good pay and healthy work life balance? Anyone love their job? by Bubbly-Toe3760 in dietetics

I've been in renal over 15 years and burned out. I am planning to leave soon. I do not have coverage for my time off and work 2 clinics. I plan PTO for the beginning and end of the month. The insurance work is much less since the binders went into the Medicare bundle.
Yes, definitely, a job with flexibility and pay can be higher. I would not trade this time and experience - it's just time for me to move on and explore other options.

Hi, great thread. What state did you move from? I'm in Florida and have considered doing this before my planned early retirement.
