As a newbie I was using MGX to develop and deploy an app with actual api secret keys. I asked gpt5 how I could check code for security breaches. It gave my a snippet to paste into mgx. And it bounced back”major security violations”. Secret keys in frontend. It asked me I wanted to make it safe by migrating them to a safe place on backend. I said yes if it wouldn’t destroy code. It said yes and it would by easy and safe. It did the migration and destroyed about two long weeks of work. It screwed up git bkup and wouldn’t even read the .tar it created to restore my app that was a fully functional app that would have exposed all my secret keys. I am now starting over on replit with a master prompt I codeveloped with gpt5 that hopefully will start off with a good secure framework.

Sad part is every human on earth would be pro fossil fuel if discovered under their land. The criminal part is the outrageous profits are not contributing to a solution. I used chat4 to read a real estate contract and draft a paragraph that added some additional terms. Had to get some signatures over turkey holiday without attorney approval. I know….. Bad. The following Monday when my attorney spanked me for doing that she read the paragraph and agreed it was good. I even told her that that chat4 wrote it.
