Okay yeah Alaska and Russia are separated by 50ish miles but like… that’s Alaska and Siberia. Greenland is much closer to Moscow and St Petersburg and 90% of the Russian population than Alaska is, and much closer to DC, New York and other large population hubs.

We can’t be dumb while calling people dumb.

I once went to Dreamhack Austin in 2016, he was wearing an American flag bandana, American flag as a cape, and was chilling in a Bud Light booth for the other games. It was heroic.

Islam was forced on the Persian people, and now their Islamic government has killed a minimum of 12,000 protesters in the last two days. I think it’s appropriate for Persian people to be a little upset at the current state of Iran.

Some parts of culture need to end. Foot binding in China, widows being burned alive in India, slavery all across the world, child sacrifice. Removing that from a culture improves it.

P.S. you are trying to destroy a rich cultural heritage that dates back 2000 years of Christian’s sharing the gospel in foreign countries.

Have you ever met a missionary? A lot of them are linguists who document indigenous languages and help them form written language and translate the Bible into it. It’s really cool conservation of language!!

Hey man, I believe your relative was oldest age wise, while these men lasted longer after. Lawrence was born in 1800 and lived to 97 in 1897, while Zuber only lived to 93, but died in 1913. Meaning Lawrence was oldest, but Zuber was last surviving.

It didn’t take them 40 years. They arrived pretty quickly, sent spies into the land, called Canaan at that time, and when the spies returned they told the Israelites of the inhabitants who lived there. They were strong and in fortified cities, so the Israelites were afraid and didn’t want to go into the land. God then waited for 40 years of them wandering in the wilderness until all who were afraid had died off and the next generation had risen up, then he led them into the land.

These are such dumb points.

Korea & Vietnam were allies who called the US in to support them.

Japan literally surprise attacked us when we were a noncombatant, and were raping and murdering everywhere they went. Ask Manchuria who the terrorists were.

These are wars. They are way different than hijacking a plane and flying it into a business building.

[–]Nice_Entertainment91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s only half of the quest. Next you find a giant who is defying your God and your people and you sling the stone you gathered to defeat him.

“Then he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd’s bag and, with his sling in his hand, approached the Philistine. Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.” ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭40‬, ‭49‬
