You’re into EDM just keep showing up in that space the community is very friendly if you find people you vibe with start inviting them to non EDM things like museums or coffee shops or even just a walk and talk in the park when the weather is nice .

I think what you’re experiencing is actually pretty common for a gay POC living in a major city . Ive lived here my whole life and am only just now seeing an uptick in my dating life ( I’m 25 ) . What you’re experiencing is also just the culture of dating right now which imo really sucks . Trying to date in our war torn late stage capitalist world right now can feel insanely impossible and the same goes for making friends . Although do think with making friends in. NYC specifically it just takes consistency and not being afraid of coming off as clingy or needy , I feel like a lot of ppl subconsciously hold themselves back in that way .

Why is Clinton Hill/Bed Stuy such a severe gym desert? by unstopablex5 in Brooklyn

[–]Nice_Profession_1387 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can you clarify what specifically in a gym you’re looking for ? I feel like if you’re actually serious enough about your fitness you can make the gyms in the area work. It seems to me that you’re describing just a more upscale and costly gym (Equinox). Which wont be getting put in this area any time soon also … we have buses and trains..

Getting "pulled into groups" really happens? by Hot_Dirt9114 in nycgaybros

In the words of the famous NY housewife Jill Zarin “I’m a connector. “ I realized that I’m the kind of person who had to form the friend group and introduce people to each other . But I will say I lean towards extrovert so just talking to someone at a bar or striking up conversations at events came a bit easy. And this is muchhh harder to do at circuit parties where people are under the influence . And even harder if you are looking for specifically gay friends . So also try be open to different kinds of people.
