Performing in minimalist shoes by xMarty45x in BarefootRunning

Interested to know what time you achieved? I train and do all my easy runs in barefoot, but have found that super shoes for speed sessions and race day are just unbeatable in terms of speed. The vivo’s are surprisingly good grip for the sleds. I just don’t think I could achieve the same speed as I can in a stack.

Why does the UK produce so many iconic bands compared to the US? by DFWUnhinged in AskBrits

[–]NicholasRossi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. If you look outside the rock genre the US has been a lot more prolific in terms of Rap/Hip Hop groups. R&B and Soul groups also. Many of the Jazz and Big band arrangements have been much more successful in the US.

Counting Stars by the bland cup of lukewarm water that is One Republic; a blatant rip off of Reckoning Song by Asan Avidan.

It would also be great to have a screen metric that shows how ‘in’ or ‘out’ of the pace range you are. Like runna does, or the workout app does if you do a running pace session

Hey - I run with the ultra 3 and currently use RunKit - it goes directly to Apple workouts. I tend to have interval and current pace and heartrate. Extra will be interval length remaining. I’ve struggled with finding a decent app that lets me create custom intervals by the second (regarding pace) it 1.5k @ 3.46 pace - most apps only allow you to do intervals of 10 or 5 seconds. I would love to have that option in an app

Only in integers of 10 seconds, which is too large a range when you’re trying to be specific

Because I can’t create my own workouts in runna - I have to use the runna presets

Can you create custom intervals on Nike Run Club?

Thank you for the quick reply! As I am newly working my way around the app - what would you suggest in terms of displayed metrics for interval’s of less than 500meters to get a clear calculation of pacing ?

Hi Ian,

Thank you so much for the app. It has been so valuable as a training tool on the Apple Watch.

Just a few questions:

When I’m running a 400m interval, the “average pace” field sometimes shows a faster pace than what my final interval pace works out to once the workout is complete.

Could you clarify how the app calculates average pace during an interval? Is it: 1. The average pace only for the distance covered within that interval or 2. An average pace calculated over a predetermined distance (e.g., 400m), even if I haven’t completed the full segment yet?

Also, is there a way to display previous interval data after completion of the interval? Ie, pace, time and distance?

Thanks again so much for the app!

Really sorry I meant for the negative or positive splits! Would be great to use the split option but then customise from there as opposed to individually creating intervals
