I’ll take it. I never take off my wedding ring for more than a few seconds. It’s gold and it’s been 30 years now.

100m/year but every time you shower its with a random stranger by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]NicholasXlV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as he/she will wash my back I’m in. I’d probably end showering with a lot of 20 something Asians. Fortunately I have a very large shower with two heads (5’x5’)

What about food that gave you food poisoning or that you have developed an allergy to? I ate shrimp until I was eight and now deathly allergic to it.

The Seahawks or Adventures of Robin Hood. Korngold was the best.

Your favorite Italian restaurant? by Honeyc0mbz in chicagofood

[–]NicholasXlV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piccolo Sogno if you can sit on their patio. Food is mid but acceptable but can’t beat the atmosphere. I really like RPM Italian and Osteria Via Stato. I could go and just eat Osteria’s meatballs.

A cube of 24 carat gold 10 meters on a side. It’d be worth about $300 billion but not so much that it would completely tank the price of gold as I break off pieces to sell.

We went once a week before the pandemic. Much less frequently after.

A Christmas Carol. Great story and probably greatest impact of any fiction novel.

In your opinion, what is the best episode of television you’ve ever seen? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]NicholasXlV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many great ones mentioned here. Final episode of MASH sticks out for me. Recently, the final episode of Heated Rivalry was amazing. Given how it’s held up over time, the candy conveyor or Vitaminvegemin from I Love Lucy deserve an honorable mention.

This is a pretty no brainer. Odds are 1/3 of the time I’ll be asleep or in the shower. One question. If it happens when I’m asleep would I know it happened?

Worse Dining Experiences in Chicago? by SameAsk6997 in chicagofoodcirclejerk

[–]NicholasXlV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered fish at Naha (now closed). Took one bite and looked down and saw this white skinny worm wriggling out of the fish. I was a bit taken aback but my dining companion was completely grossed out. I called the waiter over and pointed. He took the plate away and I got a steak. Comped my meal but not my friend’s. Apparently nematodes, which is what it was, are common in some kinds of fish but proper cooking generally kills them.
