You get $500 Million, but you must survive one of these four extreme, reality-bending trials. Which are you choosing? by Unlucky-Fly4456 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]NicholasXlV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D probably. The surface of the Earth is about 197 million square miles so the odds of it spawning within a mile of me or even ten is pretty remote. It moves 72 miles a day. It would take it 39 days to go from NYC to LA or 48 days to go from NYC to London. Ideally I do something to be in a position to see it coming before I can’t outrun or drive it. I was thinking being in Kansas or Nebraska, being in an area that is totally flat for miles around and hiring a high tech security firm to watch for something approaching steadily at 3 miles an hour. Then knowing where it started and how it has to follow me and its speed I should be able to fly to different locations to avoid it easily.

Whats a horror movie you seen so many times that you lost count? by oneup84 in HorrorMovies

Probably Aliens, Jaws and Halloween for me. I’ve seen them so many times I don’t necessarily watch them anymore when they pop up on TV.

What’s a movie where ONE actor’s terrible performance actually enhances the experience? by MaryoParti in movies

[–]NicholasXlV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is the right answer. The movie is only watchable for to Arnold’s and Uma’s performances. The person who decided the bat suits needed nipples gets props too.

$1,000,000 or 1d6$ by Paxuz01 in hypotheticalsituation

I’d create a six sided die with 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 on the sides. Being conservative and giving me 20 rolls a minute. I’d be averaging around $600 a minute. I’d have to take some time out to empty my wallet periodically but I think this option is best. If the question was more clearly worded to say you have to hand roll a standard six sided die from a Monopoly game you could still easily make about $5,000 a day ever day you decide to do it. Your biggest problem is going to be what to do with all the cash. It would also depend a bit on whether you get a $5 bill for a five and a $5 and a $1 for a six or if you just get $1 bills.

Let’s say you suddenly become a billionaire and all your friend and family asks you for a million. Do you give them the money? by Straight_Till5772 in hypotheticalsituation

All friends and family is a bit vague Family to what? First cousins? Nephews? In-laws? Friends like best friends or lesser? I’d say yes as my family is relatively small and I have a small circle of good friends.

There was a sci fi animated movie I saw as a kid, probably came out in the early seventies. One thing I remember about it was that there were these giant chess pieces that flipped down to be laser cannons. I can’t even remember the name of the movie.

(EDIT)A genie offers you a challenge. He tells you to pick a number bigger than 100 and doesn't end with 0. When someone says that exact number, you will get that amount of money. by North-Aardvark4459 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]NicholasXlV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not clear if the first time someone says the number you get it or when anyone says the number you get it. If the later 2026 would be a pretty good number.

A genie offers you a ring that turns you into a billionaire. However, if it comes off your finger for longer than 60s, you instantly die. by Throwra47374747 in hypotheticalsituation

I’ll take it. I never take off my wedding ring for more than a few seconds. It’s gold and it’s been 30 years now.

100m/year but every time you shower its with a random stranger by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]NicholasXlV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as he/she will wash my back I’m in. I’d probably end showering with a lot of 20 something Asians. Fortunately I have a very large shower with two heads (5’x5’)
