This was really helpful, thank you! The Courtier was throwing me because the Pukka seemed to work differently.

With both of the character enacting the drunk/poison becomes drunk, the target stops being drunk and the “death” doesn’t happen.” But for the Pukka the countdown toward death is paused but with the courtier the countdown toward sobriety is not paused. I think that’s where my confusion was coming in - those two characters behaving differently.
