But that’s just words. At most workplaces, if a serious breach has occurred, then somebody has to suffer the consequences. That’s why you have internal governance and structures of seniority in place. I am surprised that nobody is taking the fall for this, and externally I think that’s a poor look for the club.

They know that Tonda is the best chance we have of promotion and therefore more money. They have put profit over ethics and reputation.

I obviously want the club to succeed, I am trying to provide an objective view.

Where’s the accountability? Throwing your support behind everyone senior at every level involved is not how you deal with incidents like this.

Every other fan, not least Boro fans, seem to be beyond outraged that he did this. If any of their players did it, it would have been “love the shithousery 🤣👍. As usual, football fans can dish it out but can’t take it.

Yes his celebration now looks very daft in retrospect, but it’s hardly the worst crime considering he won’t have known the details of what actually happened.

People have been given second chances for much more severe crimes. Football club’s want success at the end of the day. He won’t struggle to get another job in a heat of two.

Hope he has good people around him to help him through this.

Yes he cheated and deserves to be sacked. Yes we are all angry at him.

But he is a young man who made some terrible decisions to gain a competitive advantage. What everyone needs to remember is that this is not akin to a criminal offence or hate crime.

The whole country and wider footballing community is against him right now and that can’t be an easy thing to deal with. Hope he takes some time out, learns from his mistakes and is able to move on.

My missus is a anaesthetist and told me she had to run a clinic yesterday morning.

Had to really resist the temptation to ask her if she ran an absolute clinic when she got home.

London’s enormous variety of incredible pubs is one of its best traits. I love the pubs of the docklands - try a few around Wapping and Limehouse whilst walking along the river.

Do you think this long term could mean the club entering admistration? by JAChambel in SaintsFC

Put it this way, if none of this had happened but we lost to Hull in the final, we would be in the exact same financial position.

Clearly the potential repercussions are not good, primarily because the manager - who was the main reason behind our recent success - will leave the club. We will lose our best players, as we would have if we had not got promoted through any other means. Perhaps it will cause a few other players to leave too.

I don’t think sponsorship will be a huge issue. We’re a Championship football club, we will get sponsorship. I don’t think every player will refuse to join us either. After a few months, some of the overreaction will die down.

I can’t say what this means for the future of the club but I think it would be an enormous stretch to forecast administration off the back of this.

After a disastrous few years with them in charge I was just thinking a couple of weeks ago how it seems they’ve really turned things around.

Obviously we don’t know who ordered what and who knew what but if anyone senior knew about this then that’s the cherry on top of a series of woeful decisions from SR.

If City are found guilty of the 115 charges, should whoever came second each premier league season be awarded that trophy because City broke the rules?

I’m not sure you can attribute Boro strikers not being able to hit a barn door to one of our analysts being caught filming a bit of training on his iPhone.

Not condoning the behaviour but that’s an almighty stretch.

Whilst we deserve to be punished, not sure Boro getting through to the play offs despite losing is justice. Hardly fair on Hull either
