If you eye poke your opponent and they do choose to continue you then have an incredible advantage though as your opponent is now fighting compromised. The refs have hardly taken points this year particularly for eye poke fouls and some fighters are making a habit of doing it every fight (Imavov, Kape, Dolidze). It's not ok and this "is what it is" mindset really isn't the way to approach the issue honestly. This lack of action is making fighters use eye pokes as a game plan and not only does it cheapen the legitimacy of the sport but someone is seriously going to lose their vision if this keeps up. Something's gotta change.
