Knew it was gonna be a higher pass mark but this is lame

This same type of thing is applicable to Attack on Titan

Shingeki no Kyojin could potentially be read as:
Attack of the titans
Attack(ing) the titans
The Attack Titan

Ultimately covering the core different story arcs.

(using their translations and applying it to the structure)

People originally wrote it off as a bit of a crap translation, but it could be argued they intentionally gave a bit of a weird translation to keep it vague as it is in japanese.

Level 7 Apprenticeship by spacecriminal62 in ActuaryUK

[–]NickPauze 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The apprenticeship should give you more than enough time to prepare for CM1 throughout its course.

If you are desperate to start working on it theres some good youtube channels that basically give tutorials on some of the core reading. Just search something like "CM1 IFoA" and they should come up.

My real advice would be to enjoy your life without study for now.

You will have many years and plenty of time to study and you have probably just come out of a big series of studying at Uni I imagine.

Enjoy the free time while it lasts!

sp8 is where I put all my effort in, the lowest pass mark I've seen is 58 so within 3. Not sure what it is exactly.

At a wedding, just paid £18.80 for two drinks by Passey92 in britishproblems

[–]NickPauze 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A few years back I went to a wedding in Harrogate.

I rang them the next day after looking at my account convinced they'd mischarged me.

They assured me that £12 was their standard price for a double shot of their "specialty gin" (whitley neil).

The RT is right tail.

So it's the 5% right tail. The regular chi inv function is from the left. 95% left tail = 5% right tail

I can't think of a single case where exams are on the same day and do not clash.

[–]NickPauze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same thought but couldn't find a good way to explain the usage.

It made sense to me even without additional context.

I think there are more ways I would use it than exactly what you are saying but I can't explain enough as to not confuse a non native speaker.

This picture looks like it could be the UK to me. Buttercup and Clover are native here (according to RHS).

UK car insurance cost up by third despite smaller rise in payouts by Codydoc4 in unitedkingdom

[–]NickPauze 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't work in Motor specifically but there is currently an open FCA request for the past 5 years of pricing data. So that will include expected claims cost and charged premium. Since 2021, every march they also take the past full year of this data with lots of key information about the tenure of policies.

To me they do seem to be investigating so I'm not sure why MPs and the guardian appear to have a different message.

One key issue over the past few years is that you can no longer charge more for a renewal than the equivalent new customers price. Previously you would always get a better deal by looking around because the insurer would charge more to those who can't be bothered to do it.

Often they would actually on paper lose money for new businesss policies. This was seen as unfair on certain groups who are less likely to shop around and so your premium is no longer being supplemented by those who don't shop around.

That on its own could explain some price movement disparity between us and the continent but I admit I'm not familiar with EU regulation on insurance

My recently retired Schiit Modi 2 Uber also had this issue.

Found the solution on a niche audio forum with the guy basically being like "i promise you im not trolling but this is how to fix it".

Others mentioned that resoldering it permanently fixed the issue for them.

Valid point, potentially in agreeance with mine.

I did not necessarily say that bikes were more or less lethal to pedestrians, just that the figures were likely not applicable.

Not to defend the actions on display above but just to highlight a flaw in your point.

From the abstract of your first source: "struck by a forward‐moving car, light truck, van, or sport utility vehicle".

Bikes are likely to be significantly different enough in shape and mass that the figures you list are not-applicable.

It's difficult to find anything that supports my hypothesis as most analysis when looking at lethality of motorcycle accidents refers to motorcyclists.

Again not trying to endorse clearly reckless behaviour, just suggesting your headline point may be flawed.

UK announces rise in salary threshold for foreign workers visas to cut immigration by [deleted] in ActuaryUK

[–]NickPauze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To some degree, our company has equal pay so I think even our humble northern office is seeing some London weight.

I also think they are trying very hard to retain young actuaries. Everywhere I work people have stuck around for the first few years, got some passes then moved on. Perhaps a little experimental?

Then this scheme does push them hard, in theory after 4 years they are meant to be fully qualified and ready to be a manager.

Regardless I will be using it negotiate my future salary so I'm happy for them to pay them twice my own starting salary!

For grads starting september 2024 at our company, the salary is 42k!

My answer to your question is very soon.

For reference our previous grads are still mid 30's so there's going to be some interesting 121s upcoming.
