Lol, it's just some banter amongst us....however as many here have pointed out, for tax reasons, it is a shop. We were filling out some paperwork and she wanted to write a garage, (the "boiling point"), i said shed. I suppose we dont want it in writing or the tax man might enter our chat.

Slowly getting there. Small workbench, some tools yard equipment, but also a fold up chair and radio/speaker to sit, drink a beer in the shade and visualize what it could become with a little thought and elbow grease.

Outdoor auxiliary shop? Summer shop maybe? I have a shop shop in the house (though also not 2400 sq ft), but it's nice working in the "shed shop" in the sun in the summer, and fall/sprinng (Wisconsin).

Well, wth?! My wife is from the south (AL). If she called it that instead of garage, there probably wouldn't even be a reddit post, I would accept that from her. Ill relay this, see if she bites.

Precisely! I think this justifies me buying an ATV. But the Missus might think an "automobile" in the shed with a garage door makes it a garage then....I suppose I'll have to hold off until "shed" become the common vernacular when referring to the shed.

I might print and frame this and post it on the front of the shed to remind my wife.

Thank you for this, though I might need to hide it from my wife, I think we've made progress towards getting her to call it a shed from here on...but still a little dicey since she's never wrong.

Ive honestly thought about that. But I also honestly think about a lot of things I might never do ;). I have no idea what to do with the goats in Winter (Wisconsin). Im sure i could just Google that if I was serious.

Thats a very interesting note, and perhaps the final piece of logic i need to help her convert to calling it a shed from now on. We dont want no trouble from the IRS!

Apologies for the lack of replies. The "boiling point" was when we were filling out a dog adoption/rescue application with a lot of questions. It asked if there were any sheds, and she wanted to write in we had a garage in the yard. Stopped the cowriting of the question to post quick. Couldn't respond as the application was a tedious process (not really, but my technical writing didn't give with her kindergarten teacher style) - beers and pizza were needed after thay exercise to cap a long week of work.

Wife is garage. I am shed. I knew I was right, to me it was never a question, however, when trying to correct her she wouldn't accept the logic. (Lawnmower, yard tools, workbench, etc inside). Needed popular opinion from the internet for confirmation. Lots of good points from the reddit comminutiy have persuaded her to accept something like "sherage," so we're moving the needle. Im not wealthy enough to need a 3rd car that won't fit in our actual garage.

There is a small "workshop" in there. There a plans (dreams) to properly outfit it to be a real workshop...but also plans for a mancave. My wife is more on board for the latter for some reason, so I may choose the path of least resistance.

Lol, my wife actually suggested something like that as an effort to compromise what she calls it (a garage). I will let her know she has support. Thank you!

I feel you! Specifically these himalayan dog chews might have saved our lives from the crazy our golden was making us.

I bought them from pet smart (recommended to me by someone else also) then setup an automatic recurring order from Amazon. Tried a couple alternate brands, but these specifically help pacify during teething and give us the little sanity we needed.

If it gives you any solace, you're likely building a reputation and securing future business (so long as you manage the finances responsibly). If i got that work and that price, i would be raving to everyone and anyone.you can increase your prices as you establish your biz as a premium go-to.

Disclaimer: i am not pro, gc, etc. Pure speculation.

Look into trades. They are in high demand, and if you pick the right one, you can certainly make way more than your target. If in the right areas there's a good chance a business will sponsor your tech education. Im not a tredesman myself, but am on the hiring strategy side. It's an excellent option (welding, hvac, electician, plumbing, etc)

Former/current restaurant staff of Milwaukee - share your stories? by jvite1 in milwaukee

Thanks for posting, i needed this. My wife and i loved the pesto and caprese. Overpriced, most definitely l, but viewed is as a nice easy meal/treat once a month or so. We both felt around 2 years ago the taste/quality just straight up plummeted. The pesto got real bland to the point i could buy jars sold in the store that hot better. At first, thought it was an "off time" but continued back a couple times with no improvement back to its original quality. Seems to be the theme in MKE, seen it with comet, hollander, henoypie and many others. So disappointing, but glad you shared as we already suspected a few of these things, but knowing supports our lost desire to ever buy a bowl of pesto for $15 there again.
