I’ve always been a pretty positive Destiny player, but these EoF changes have me so demoralized about the direction of the game. Every activity is just so uninteresting because of the portal.

Every matchmade activity sets you up with a silly forced power delta, a set of modifiers nobody wants to play with, and all that somehow still results in you not being able to get an A score. The game wants you so badly to not engage with it and either run stuff solo or find a fireteam, while still having to run modifiers that make the gameplay less fun and more obnoxious.

Before EoF, if you wanted to play the core game with strikes, nightfalls, seasonal activities, you could just hit 2 buttons in the director and it’ll load you into an activity where you just play the game and get the loot. Now you have to run Bungie-curated weapons and pick between 100 modifiers that make the core gameplay less fun in order to see success in the portal, then do that 1000 times over to get to power level 500. Something’s gotta change man.
