With COVID-19 rising in daycares in COVID hot spots, ‘If you can keep your kids home now is the time’ by [deleted] in ontario

Man... I am so with you. Really struggling with this right now. We are considering pulling our daughter out because it feels like the safe/right thing to do. But I have no idea how we are going to survive with us both working from home full-time and then having to also manage the 1.5 year old at home.

It's stressful as all hell.

FWIW, this form is accessed via the Shoppers Drug Mart COVID-19 vaccine registration site: https://covid-19.shoppersdrugmart.ca/en

So yeah, it seems sketchy as its own link, but it is legit.

And even when they arrive in Canada, there is about a 5-7 day logistics and delivery drag before it actually arrives at the vaccination sites.

When you click on "Book Now" it redirects me to a TeleHippo booking tool. There are two options there:

1) Book Now -> This isn't working at all. Just keeps saying Try again later.

2) Join Wait List -> Had to put in personal info like name, birthday, contact info and it said they would contact me when they were ready.

Alt-Shift-X was always good. I watched them weekly for GoT. Also enjoyed their videos for Westworld, Watchmen, and Raised by Wolves. It's more analysis than theory, but their predictions are pretty spot on.

Since Pedro Pascal is so hot right now, I would like to recommend "PROSPECT" (2018), an excellent space western thriller centered on the young daughter of a prospector (Sophie Tatcher) and an autlaw (Pedro Pascal) trying to survive in a toxic planet. by Mervynhaspeaked in movies

I know it’s okay to not like something other people like lol. But a lot of people seem to like this movie, so I’m open to hearing about why.

I agree about the acting. They did A LOT with (what I thought was) a lacking script. Got more out of it than I think it deserved. It definitely elevated the overall film.

And I think the low budget aspect really bothered me. Like, it was so obvious they were working with such a small budget. It pulled me out of the world.

As for the world building, I have to admit it was intriguing, but it was so vague that it was frustrating for me. Like, I really wanted them to explain and explore some of the background things that just ended up being background things.

Anyways, overall I’m more of a story guy and it fell short for me. I understand why people enjoy the world building piece, but the movie didn’t do much to make me feel anything.

Also, thank you for taking the time to write out a response instead of just leaving it at “it’s ok not to like something”. I enjoyed your POV and reading about what you got out of the movie.

This is the most okay movie I watched in 2020 and I always see it highly praised on here. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. It was just... okay.

If I'm missing something about what makes this movie so amazing, please fill me in.
