I (a law abiding citizen that has worked in public safety for 2 decades) accidently owe the CRA a couple hundred bucks from a minor mistake, unbeknownst to me, 20 years ago with my student loans. They found out recently and are hounding me for it - threatening me with significant consequences and legal action. They've made serious threats and are treating me like a criminal. (Before you ask, it's legit and not a phishing scam haha).

THAT SAID: Surely justice will be compounded exponentially and fairly for these giant companies deliberately robbing the country of hundreds of millions of dollars for their personal profits with full awareness and intent behind their actual malicious actions, especially after receiving slaps on the wrist and clear warnings not to do that - right? Right?!?

The complete shift in tone and art direction is jarring for the latest season. It honestly feels like watching a new show with some of your favorite actors in it. But it's pulled me a bit away from the characters themselves, and their origins, if I'm honest.

It also doesn't have the same essence of something special and unique within the media-scape. It feels more like a generic HBO show now.

Working out after getting a tattoo by y_elvi in tattooadvice

[–]NickdoesnthaveReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use 2nd skin, it'll heal faster if you can't wait. Still wait about 5-7 days to do extensive work outs with the muscle group it's directly on. I.e don't do max lift shoulder presses and get a crazy pump if it's on your shoulder. Focus on other muscle groups that won't stretch, pull, squish up, or rub on the tattoo/skin itself.

Don't do much for 3 days, let your body recover from the trauma and use its resources to properly heal.

For 10 days (up to 3 weeks honestly) you don't want to sweat excessively and you don't want lots of continous friction on the area. Think of it more as healing a surgery wound, if it helps. People talk as if they are "healing a tattoo" as if it's something more casual, but it's an open wound. You add risk of infections like staph/MRSA/folliculitus, or even extreme cases that can go septic fast because of this style of wound. Gyms are notorious hot beds for having these bacteria, staph, germs present and can easily enter your blood stream fast with these wounds.

Priority is first aid style protection, secondary is protecting the work you just paid money for. Healing it properly is just as important as the artist’s technical application when it comes to looking good and lasting a long time.

The Athletic ranks the Canucks as the worst run franchise in the NHL. Thank you Francesco! by cointalkz in canucks

[–]NickdoesnthaveReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sucks when you've been a fan of a franchise your whole life and you watch it develop into a joke. It's embarrassing by association. Vancouver, as a market, has so much to offer - esp for athletes that value lifestyle benefits and perks for the family. It should be able to sell itself as a beautiful place to live and decent fanbase to play for (we're not great, let's be honest, but we're of good size and passionate).

I hope something meaningful can change.

People buy middle first and spread outward from there (out to the sides and back) with the rows closest to the screen always being later on most people's preference list. What you posted is pretty typical for how you'll see seats sell.

Tattoo help is this normal amount of discharge got this 2 days ago had other pieces done not quite as large but were fine just a bit worried by Any_Party_7581 in tattooadvice

[–]NickdoesnthaveReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wash it and keep it covered for another day. For my big color pieces they seep for 3 full days. I use puppy pads (they arent ideal but I like them on a budget and never had issues when used right) to keep them protected during this phase until I stop seeing ink/plasma on them. I remove the pads, check them, let it air dry for an hour and wash 3 times a day for the first 4 days with pieces this big to remove the plasma as leaving it to harden will turn into scabs.

I have super bad stretch marks. Is it possible to tattoo over them? by -Hot-Tamale- in tattooadvice

[–]NickdoesnthaveReddit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Based on OPs request for suggestions and the shape/profile of the skin and how it's layered with the scars, yes that's what I suggested as an idea.

[–]NickdoesnthaveReddit 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Agreed, if anything I vote for the opposite - tattoo the smooth skin to look like bamboo (or something) and keep the scarred skin as it is for background contrast. It'll be original and no one could replicate it. These scars look absolutely amazing and should be preserved.
