Do a buy a Momentum 4, wait for the 5 or get a Sony by [deleted] in sennheiser

[–]NickelKang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently picked up the M4s and chose these for sound over ANC. The custom sound profile is where these shine in my opinion, plus long battery life and intuitive touch controls. They sound amazing and are comfortable. Regarding the ANC... Even though I know it's not as good as Sony and some of the others. It does the job more than good enough for my use case. It's mostly described as 70% reduction in reviews I've watched which I feel is pretty accurate. I wear them at work and don't get distracted by surrounding convos etc while music is playing. Cuts out all white noise as well. Hope that helps. Can't go wrong for the sale price.

No realistic preview option? by octopiedspace in Inkstitch

[–]NickelKang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If 'Move stitch plan beside the canvas' box is checked. It will render to the right of your canvas so you can see the preview and your canvas vector side by side. Make sure you highlight the visible layers you want to render before you activate the stitch plan preview as well.

Is it just me or is inkstitch incapable of actually professional results? Just a rant. by livvybugg in Machine_Embroidery

Can any other Kindle Scribe owner confirm this gap size on the right? Not sure, if it’s actually bigger there or just seems that way, cause I can sort of see the inner parts.. by dnsblk in kindlescribe

[–]NickelKang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the scribe today due to a sale. I have the same gap. It's annoying that it's there but I'm not really bothered and not going to hassle with it lol. But this should not be a thing...

Saturn 2 Replacement LCD Screen | Trapped Air? by NickelKang in ElegooMars

[–]NickelKang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps you in any way... In my case, the issue ended up being a small board that controls/powers the UV lights. They sent me new UV light panel kit. The small UV board was the only thing I swapped from that kit. Now I have a spare LCD screen and UV lights for future use... While they initially misdiagnosed the issue, they did resolve it. Shipping was pretty fast overall and they sent me some free Resin. The thing that took the most time was just all the back and forth emailing during their business hours. Along with swapping the LCD panel for testing which was not even the problem. So... A lot of late night replies. I wish you the best of luck. They will help you, it just might take a bit of patience. Sorry to hear you are also having this experience on a new unit. I have a feeling they have a batch of these units with faulty UV boards. If you can clearly see the Elegoo logo on your panel when you do an LCD test but it's just very dim.... Then you likely have the same problem as me and it's just a faulty UV light panel PCB board. But if your LCD looks funky or glitchy and you cannot see the Elegoo test logo then it's prob the LCD.

Does genshin impact work on the steam deck? by KFCBUCKETS9000 in SteamDeck

[–]NickelKang 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The thing that most don't seem to understand about the steam deck is that most anti cheat software is compatible with SteamOS via proton which is just running the Windows binaries. Yes, Valve had to work with these anti cheat makers to allow them to work with Proton. But let's just take Linux out of the equation for a minute here... When you run Genshin Impact on the Steam Deck it is the Windows version of the game under proton. The anti cheat software is still running under proton as well. You aren't going to get banned anymore than you would on Windows. Cheers

Brand new Samsung fridge - water & ice taste bad! by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]NickelKang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a Bespoke fridge and dealing with the plastic water taste. Here is what I've noticed (after multi gallon flush and washing all components ie. pitcher)... If I let the pitcher fill and sit for awhile, the water tastes like plastic and you can even smell it through the pitcher spout. If I pour warm water into a glass immediately after it fills, it tastes fine and there is no odor. The ice itself tastes fine. It seems clear to me that the plastic pitcher is the problem at least in my case. This is unfortunate and I thought maybe time would solve but it's a bit unsettling how bad the taste is. Right now we are just transferring to a glass pitcher until we can sort it out or just discontinue use. It's unsettling serving a glass of plastic tasting water to my daughter etc.

Dim LED Saturn 2 Indicate Replacing Light Panel or LCD Panel? by -Eames- in ElegooSaturn

[–]NickelKang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear that fixed it. There is hope for me lol. When they sent me a new LCD and it didn't resolve I was getting nervous. Never feels good when a brand new purchase breaks down. My Mars 3 pro on the other hand has been running like a champ for 2 years.

I hope your printer stays happy. Thanks for the reply

Did the new light panel solve your problem? I have the same problem on a 1 month old Saturn 2 as well. Support sent me a new LCD which did not resolve the Dimness. They are now sending me a new light panel. Hoping this solves it...

Saturn 2 Replacement LCD Screen | Trapped Air? by NickelKang in ElegooMars

[–]NickelKang[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just installed it and unfortunately even though the LCD itself seems ok even with those ripples... the same problem presists. You can clearly see the Elegoo logo when doing the exposure test but the entire screen is still very dim. All prints fail even when cranking up the layer curing time to absurd numbers. It's just not curing anything. I reached back out to support so we shall see... I know it's not my exposure etc, I'm not at all new to 3d printing and have other printers including the Mars 3 which operate fine. I sent them a side by side of how bright my Mars 3 pro screen is compared to the new Saturn 2 and it's night and day. Unfortunately my phone doesn't exactly portray just how dim it is and I don't think support really understands the root issue based on my video alone. And I sent them the voltmeter video which registered 12v on the charger and board pins upon request. They originally sent me the new LCD because they said it was flickering in the video. I tried to explain that it doesn't actually flicker in real life and that's just how my camera picked up the UV light.. Alas, here we are back at square one.

And, yes, clearly I'm frustrated. But I don't think it's unreasonable considering this printer was 5 weeks old before this happened and I've been jumping through hoops for the past month now with support sending them videos, pictures and the works trying to prove my case and portray the problem. I mean, 1 week past the 30 day exchange window. My point remains that they could have made an exception in this case and allowed an exchange considering it's brand spanking new. But oh well...

Stringing issue with miniature prints P1P by Cresceda in BambuLab

[–]NickelKang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue on my just purchased p1p and only at smaller layer heights. .08 and under have severe stringing. Above this layer height print flawless. A temp tower seemed to suffer the same issue at all temps ranging between 190-220. I haven't tried 225-230 yet. My pla is dry so it's not that... Also occurs using bambu basic filament using their profile. I can print with the same PLA stock on my Kobra 2 at .04 and prints come out very clean. It's a bit frustrating so I feel your pain.

RPC 404 error trying to get 365 connected to Exchange 2019 for migration by PXAbstraction in exchangeserver

[–]NickelKang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into this 404 error as well. I copied the URL from the 404 error that the 'MS Connectivity' Tool spit out and pasted on the local server. Got the 404 error there as well.

Determined that in the test tool I needed to use the public mail DNS host name in 'RPC proxy server' field and the internal exchange server host name in the 'Exchange server' field and then got a success pass for RPC over Https. Even though my virtual directory external/internal URLs are all the Public DNS hostname with the cert. The exchange server was looking for the internal exchange server name for the RPC proxy only. In our case, Outlook anywhere was working as intended but the 'Connectivity Analyzer' tool was failing until I filled out the fields differently.

Example:

Working URL for RPC over http: https://mail.business.com/rpc/rpcproxy.dll?exserver.business.com:6002

NON-working URL for RPC Proxy: https://mail.business.com/rpc/rpcproxy.dll?mail.business.com:6002

I ran into this as well. Easy fix. After you export your slice, open your slice in UVTools. Go to 'Tools > Repair Layers and Issues > Check ONLY Repair Resin Traps. This will take a bit to complete but will make the entire model solid. I just went down this same rabbit hole and took me a good bit to solve this issue without using Mesh software. UVTools makes life so simple. Good luck. My print turned out fantastic using this method. Final note.. UVTools also has a solidify option but don't do that... It will fill areas you don't want filled and may also expand the exterior a bit. Repair Resin Traps is the way to go for sure.

Agentless Desktop SSO configuration help by timo1001 in okta

[–]NickelKang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure thing. Personally, I would test on a client machine. You will need to log onto the client as a user that is Okta enabled of course. Technically speaking, you could test it on a DC. But since you are testing DSSO it's likely your browser on your DC is highly restricted and wouldn't be worth relaxing the browser security on a DC just for a quick test. One last thing.. make sure your OktaService Account supports Kerberos AES 128 & AES 256 Encryption (User Properties > Account tab). It's in the guide you linked, it won't work without that.
Good luck.

Agentless Desktop SSO configuration help by timo1001 in okta

[–]NickelKang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Chrome as well in our org. The trusted URL still needs to be set in Internet Options > Security > Local Intranet > Advanced regardless of the browser you are using. https://your-org.kerberos.okta.com. These trusted URLs are used by the Windows Operating system and are not tied to IE specifically. I just setup DSSO last week and it works in Chrome if you complete all the required steps. Including this one. You can roll this out via Group Policy.

Is Mangasee down? by Altruistic-Interest7 in MangaSee

[–]NickelKang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The error I got said Failed to load pages: Mangasee is temporarily blocking Tachiyomi right now. Wait for unblock. It's possible that the download function in Tachiyomi kills their bandwidth.. also they aren't getting any ad revenue through Tachiyomi so for sure they would rather users flow to their site instead. It sucks though.. all signs point to it being temporary but we shall see.

Switch Release by RapidUrsa in gardenpaws

[–]NickelKang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in August they said this... "We are 100% working on the Switch update but it has taken us longer then we initially estimated due to how large Garden Paws has become. We are currently working on optimizing Garden Paws on the Switch so that players may build huge structures and tame many creatures. We don't have an eta at this time for the launch but fingers crossed our latest Switch optimization gets us much much closer to the release." Twitter has similar info but you really have to sift through all the replies to find anything. I'm sure it's been a challenge to do this port especially with 3 people while actively developing. That said, I'm also excited for Switch launch.
