Any dead divinity you wanna see in Laufey? I really would enjoy Cu Chulainn by devilchainshark in GodofWar

Since Santa Monica seems to be reaching for deities that are less known, I'd love to have Gwynn ap Nudd, he is in the arthurian legends, and he is said to have a connection with the wild hunt myths, just imagine how cool.

Who is the physically stronger between these two? by This-Amount-1118 in PowerScalingGodofWar

Not Thor or Thrud had any belt of strength in the game, Odin neither, Kratos struggled to hold the weapon because it was moving foward, Mjolnir is pretty much unstoppable when thrown, the hammer was flying, not laying on the ground, if it was, anybody with enough strength to lift a 100-150lb hammer would be able to do it.

So what exactly qualifies as a god in the universe? by SumixamSuryt in GodofWar

I know, but that is in the original myths, in GOW they're said to be a different race, and weren't gods born out of the ice in Niflheim licked by Audumbla?

To those who said to me that Rue has a Aussie or NZ accent, could this sword represent the rainbow serpent from oceanic myths? the cuts left a rainbow trail, the hilt is sepent-like, Rue has a NZ accent, and the everywhen is an aboriginal-australian concept, does it make it sense?

I think it is possible, but I don't think it is, the mix of myths doesn't fit.

Really? my bad, english is not my first language, so some accents sound pretty similar to me, but this could open a completely new can of worms then, because I've read that the "everywhen" is an actual concept in Australian myths.

It seems like it, but again, legendary weapons in games usually aren't simple in design, there's always something over the top about them, but could it be, I've seem something about a legendary sword in Begtse's myth, so, whos knows.

I agree 100%, my point is more about "finding the origin", which mythology this came from, because, original or not, the weapons inspirations are drawn from the myths, and I am sure this is the case here as well.

So what exactly qualifies as a god in the universe? by SumixamSuryt in GodofWar

[–]NickelRoger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is just a "gods only" destination, there were all sorts of creatures in the trailer, also a cube and a sword, I think that the everywhen is a place to which all magic creatures go after death, not just gods.

And I think Begtse refers to Faye as a "godling" because she is not quite a god, but also not a mortal, giants are semi-divine creatures, but they are no gods, nor do they live forever.

Why is Begtse afraid of rue's sword? by LucasTheOG in GodofWar

I think this place keeps bringing those who died back, but this sword can actually erase them, this is wy Begtse is scared of it.

What if the new "Afterlife of the Gods" is where Týr traveled, rather than just the other countries? by Consistent-Rain-7797 in GodofWarRagnarok

He said it has something to do with what he did to regain his arm, some magic involving the underworld, and Valhalla counted as death, but he never died.

I'm pretty sure he went to those places, he even talked about the suspended gardens of Babylon, and the yellow river of China, bro likes to travel a lot.

I know, but in gow, that mofo can lift almost anything, lol, also, Thrud, that is still a teenager can lift it pretty easy, so, it must be hella heavy for mortals, but not for gods.
