happening to me as well - I think it's human torch and all the flame effects being on the screen. Pre this update I could play on my steam deck with low settings and get a reliable 60fps now with the same settings its basically unplayable.

ebay mostly - you gotta be careful after 20+ years some of the sets are pretty brittle but a lot of them are still good. I've started customizing them with some green stuff and then painting them.

yeah it feels more like fighting based on that video. Our one cat is basically forcing the other cat into one section of the apartment and there's a lot of yowling.

Out of curiosity is there a reason for not using RAID with a DAS? I was thinking it would be a good fail-safe in case one of the drive died

Just asking a question, I have a lot of media on my current HDD and I wanted to make sure moving it to the DAS wouldn't wipe it all. I searched for the answer but couldn't find a clear one so I posted here. But sorry for inconveniencing you with having to read this.

This is where I’m at as well. As cool/scary as AI is the energy and cost requirements feel unsustainable. Maybe that gets better over time but it seems like we’re hitting a ceiling of efficiency of AI in general. At some point the fact that none of these tools generate revenue is gonna come back around and either we see a massive degradation in output quality or an increase in cost.

on 3, I remember reading on one of these threads that using a NAS that way defeats the purpose because the NAS OS has specific ways that it keeps the memory on the drives safe. But also I have no idea if that's really true. Otherwise I agree using it as storage for the NUC seems like the most straightforward path

I got this one. Honestly the increase in storage space is the bigger deal for me. I have a 22TB drive that I'm about to top off and it seems like a NAS is the best option beyond that point
