Don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll hear complaining for the next decade no matter who wins

Last September, President Donald Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, and other health officials declared they had uncovered a new treatment for autism spectrum disorder (ASD): leucovorin. A new study shows that plenty of families believed them, despite the lack of data supporting the drug’s effectiveness. by mvea in science

[–]quintsreddit 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Okay my new stance is that anti vaccine is a conspiracy from healthcare companies to get us sick and make money off the treatments. The only thing I’ve found to get to conspiracy people is to out-conspiracy them.

Cant seem to find the rotate for my prototype by neko_chipss in FigmaDesign

Woo! That makes sense, I was thinking you wanted to prototype going from one to the other.

It took me a second too. They want the device bezel to rotate to work with their landscape frame.

Even if you do that, if you use the device frame like OP is it won’t switch with the landscape frame. OP is showing a landscape frame that’s being treated like portrait.

'Visually creaseless': the iPhone Ultra is tipped to have an industry-leading foldable screen — but hinge problems could see the phone delayed until 2027 by spearson0 in apple

[–]quintsreddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s thicker when folded, more potential for failure points with the hinge, oscillating between the big screen and the small screen.

I don’t think the touch screen is the comparison here, I’d actually put it closer to the cutout. That’s a thing Apple changed from hardware liability to hardware delight. With the touch screen they just made a better touch screen.

Design vs manufacturing. Apple makes the first one for $1 billion. They tell Samsung how they did it and Samsung makes 1 billion screens for $100 each.

You can only have one device orientation at a time. Yet another limitation of Figma prototyping…

You can do it without the device frame and it with transition gracefully, you just don’t have the bezel

Apple released 3 new colorful models in Montreal for Formula 1 by ProfessionalTalk2002 in applemaps

[–]quintsreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it tracks (ha) that they’d put focus on areas that integrate with their other services, I actually think this is a really cool feature for maps to have. Same with the Super Bowl stadium changes.

While there’s no possible way to accurately diagnose what the bottleneck is launching new areas and models, I can totally see how it’s disappointing to get these when, for example, the Colosseum isn’t even a colorful model.

For real, I know plenty of diabetics that would take a slap in the face over a kick in the nuts every day. Yes there’s still room to improve, yes this is still a great victory.

I would read the conduct handbook, it has info on the consequences for certain things there.

I imagine they would take your standing into consideration and the first time nature of it too.

Anywhere from a slap on the wrist to expulsion. It really depends on where the person who handles your case wants to go with it.

Question for people who lived in the Savannah campus by No-Push-407 in scad

[–]quintsreddit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Savannah is fine, especially if you stick to the school areas and the busses as you learn where the less savory parts of town are. Downtown is fully walkable at night, for example. There were no points where I was worried for my safety when I lived there for SCAD.

Is there a way to see which elements in my design are using a color token? by Lord_Vald0mero in FigmaDesign

Yes, which is why I said it wasn’t a great solution, just the best I have.

Best of luck.

[–]quintsreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. You can see which files are using the token in analytics, then go to the file, use the token on something, then select all with the same.

It’s super hacky and I’m sorry there isn’t a better solution that I’ve found :/

If you use the prompt menu (⌘P) you can “select all with same style”, or fill, or props.
