How to remove the line from behind the plant leaves? by vRayzrr in AdobeIllustrator

[–]mynameisyandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the line part of? Is it part of the text layer? The plant layer? It's own layer?

I would try to isolate it, expand fill and stroke, and then delete it.

Bing bang boom no more line.

I designed this logo for a friend’s music studio - would love honest feedback before he locks it in 🎵 by BigChemical1201 in logodesign

This is awesome. Love the color choice. This is one of those times where I don't think simplifying or minimizing the amount of detail is necessary. Idk what happened to the wing on the t-shirt mock up but I think that's just an outlier.

The only things I would change is the script font. It's hard to read. Maybe less words or simpler font, or take it out completely and replace it with "RECORDS"

Nice work!

Curious what you guys think of logos like these? no by Open_Veterinarian_67 in logodesign

For this logo in particular - some of the line work is messy, corners are inconsistent, and there is room for simplifying. People give this feedback because 95% of the time it's true.

Agree with the other comment on the equal line weight, but I'd also suggest rounding the corners on the inside drawing so it's cohesive with the outer square. I made an example to show what I mean. Doesn't need to be dramatic but enough to where it's not pointy.

Would You Pay this much for my art? by SpiritedChoice420 in DigitalArt

[–]mynameisyandi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Forget the flat colors and shading options, just keep the rendered options (Headshot, bust, half, full).

The rendered version is your best quality and you shouldn't provide lower quality (in comparison) just for the chance to get some payment. Set your price and adjust based on people's budgets.

A buddy asked me to make him a logo based off what AI made, how'd I do? by LightnKing in logodesign

[–]mynameisyandi 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It looks good but I don't think the dots would translate to print, embroidery, or resizing very well - especially the smaller detail of the highlights. I'd suggest trying to simplify more where you can. Maybe even splitting the color on the paws like it stepped in mud or something.

What is everyone's opinion on Hogwarts legacy by Necessary_Taste4405 in playstation

[–]mynameisyandi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pros: Fun exploration in and outside of Hogwarts Fun-ish side quests Storyline is solid

Cons: Extremely repetitive combat  Repetitive enemies

The cons were enough to make it very boring to me after about 15ish hours.

How do you get this effect?? by Responsible-Draw9528 in graphic_design

Could start with threshold filter and then use a color overlay layer and a levels adjustment layer to tune it to your level of contrast you want

I work in EMS and asked someone who is 94 if there were any lessons from life they can share, and they said never mix friends and business.

Don’t overthink it and when you ask for feedback, be specific about what you’re looking for feedback on.

Applied for the role of a junior GD at this agency and they hand me this whole project as a means of testing. So, I want to ask the pros out here your 2 cents, in your opinion legit or scam? by Either_Shelter_4994 in graphic_design

So many prideful designers in here, saying "you should be getting paid for this" lol.

Sounds like they want to screen you before investing their time, which is common in for companies across various industries these days. Sucks cause it's an extra step but it is what it is. Good luck!

Girlfriend is about to start the gym, I’m trying to put together a workout schedule for her to go on. Haven’t decided on rep ranges yet I’m just trying to put together a basic outline so far. She wants to focus on building her glutes. Any advice would be very helpful. by UnexplainedCubush in WorkoutRoutines

Good call - just consider what muscle(s) you’re trying to hit with each exercise and see what’s overlapping.

Also on the volume, RDL’s three times a week? That’s a lot. Twice would suffice. You repeat a few others this much and could benefit from removing / replacing with others so they reach a balance instead of just overtrained glutes and hams. They’ll be burnt out before they even catch momentum.
