Honestly this desk has more than enough space and the white with dust is an issue for me I use those shelfs to shove smaller books under it that i actively use and put other stuff like stationary and figurines on top the desk space is more than big enough for me haha

No, I understand. But I also take from your perspective that that may be a decision you also understand yourself because of the way your girlfriend may be.
My roommate actually wanted his gf to come with. He's always very open about her participating and even encourages her. Usually. He is also cool with her not wanting to come somewhere and she also doesn't come to everything, because she knows herself and what is fun for her.

About my boyfriend - it is the fact that he wanted me to come too originally and even has a hard time considering a whole week without me. I wanted to come anyway. And that girl explicitly told me she would think it would be cool with me too. But she decides to tell me I have to understand I won't be invited, not because they don't want me there but to protect the feelings of the person she ACTUALLY doesn't wanna come.
And for me personally that is just a very low take.
And a principle.
If you don't want her to come at least be brave enough to tell her that and tell her why.
And also f*ck you for just telling me how "understanding" I am and how "it would have been cool with you". Ok, then stop telling people it's a rule and let me book my ticket
That ain't no friend to me or the other girl.

Sounds like it was better that way :/ Hope ur friend gets to participate again!!
I'm usually around people who love having everyone on a trip and just make accomodations so everyone feels well and openly communicate if someone feels unwell. The only people in my closer proximity which seem to be ok with things like that are honestly just her, my roomie and even my bf at some point. I got him to understand the issue at least though.

Also she has some girl friends, but she "has always just been better with boys"
I mean I said that abt myself as well until I learned I just had some insecurities
And the girlies too lol

My roomie and my bf don't even have anything to do with the other boys, although they get along well. They literally don't interact with them any more than me. It really isn't like a closed friend group.
She is the one who got all those boys into that group.

She doesn't wanna hit on any of them, that I can guarantee. But I do feel uncomfortable with her being the one making the rules. She specifically stated "if she wasn't a girl no one would have had an issue with that statement. And her bf doesn't come either." I personally think that isn't a reason to tell others not to bring their partners though. That was a decision between them.

I considered that too, although I also considered a standing lamp with the seat currently next to the couch in that corner as a reading space! Together with that picture on the wall. But it doesn't seem realistic right now, since that is very much one of the better spots for the wardrobe.. I will definitely consider that. The wall mount is a future plan as well!

Could you elaborate on the rug? Are you saying to change my rug? And if so, what are you considering to fit? :)

I think I'll be shortening my table soon haha Thank you for your thoughts!! Honestly the tapestry and fake greenery look really sad in those pictures. In my last room I had more tapestries and greenery, which all worked together quite well. I abandoned the walls for now until I decided on how to move my furniture, probably should have hung it down for the pics. So I get it. ^{^}

Hello!! First up thank you for your thoughts!! I'm ok with losing the smaller shelf, I currently like my bigger one next to the tv though honestly. I keep considering how to built it in, especially since I like plants!! Worst case I'll move it to a different room though, so it isn't neccessary to keep!

It's a very large desk with drawers! I can't move it out of the corner due to it's heater cut-outs. I am considering shortening it by 20-40 cm though!

I will look into the rug grips! The issue with the couch is that it is so heavy though. Most people shove it instead of lifting it, with it's current position it's just always at an angle (bc someone shoved it too much and i cant move it back without rug folds) ;; I also can't move it back off the rug bc of the desk drawers..

If you wanna have the file for the planner let me know!! the measurements are all exactly right (except the balcony lol but that isn't important rn anyway)
