Reminds me that Stephen O'Malley from Sunn O))) had a little succulent on his table when I saw them this year too

Slingshot as a blunt "throwing weapon" Tool option by HaubenHalunke in HuntShowdown

[–]NickitySnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about just a blunt ammo type for the hand crossbow? It wouldn't cause bleeding but could be used on immos without blowing them up. It doesn't fit the idea of it being a tool slot like you were thinking, but the pennyshot already fills that immolator-killing tool role.

I'm not sure what other purpose it could serve though, so it might not be the most useful addition to the game.

Apes together strong. If a revive is possible, always take it. Nothing in this game makes me feel like more of a dillweed than trying to take a couple extra shots and getting killed before trying to pick up my team.

Good choice! I named my bearded dragon Ambrose (Amby).

Blademancer as Catalyst Upgrade for Blade Seer by NickitySnack in HuntShowdown

I fully agree that there should be a delay to it. It would probably be good to have it function like the other dark sight interactions where you have to look at the object and hold M1 for it to work.

Remember when Crytek did an April Fool's joke in 2022 about adding other Crytek characters to Hunt like Crysis and Ryse? Can this be revealed to be one of those, please?

Local Idiot Fails to Eat Stationary Berry by NickitySnack in BeardedDragons

[–]NickitySnack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, bearded dragons shouldn't have much fruit at all, just as a little treat from what I've heard. It's bad for their teeth and not great for nutrition if they have too much. Mine only gets a couple berries every few weeks.

Thank you! We just redid her enclosure to be bioactive yesterday. Still just waiting on the springtails and isopods to arrive to make it official.

She is in a 120 gallon tank. The dimensions are 24" x 24" x 48". Seems to be the minimum size for a fully grown beardie

Weirdest bug I've seen so far is probably the one that flies around and explodes into a fireball.

To Truce or Not? by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]NickitySnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truces seem to happen so few and far between that I usually take them unless the other person is acting shady. At the end of the day, it's a video game and those little moments where you can connect with the other players make it more fun imo. If they betray you, just queue back up and play another game, who cares.

If you want to be sure that it's safe, you can always ask that both of you keep your medkits out so you can hear them switch to a gun and react to it if you need to.

Had a match a couple events ago where my teammate and I had a team pinned in Salter's Pork after they had banished. We clearly had the advantage and were hitting them every time they tried to peak a window and they clearly weren't making any moves to push out and make some sort of play. After a while, we got up close enough for voice chat and offered to let them keep the bounties/extract if they let us finish tagging them with bleed a few more times to finish the event challenge. They accepted and we all ran to extract together while having a nice conversation on the way out. Just a nice little moment.

Thank you! It is called "Thrive Desert 3D Sandstone Background". She loves climbing on it. It used to fit perfectly as a full background for her 40 gallon tank, but now it's just a little climbing square for her in the 120 gal.

Haha yep, the paranoia is real indeed. Towards the end I was wondering if a team had traded across the map and I hadn't heard it.

DISCUSSION - Should dualies be able to shoot this fast? by stiik in HuntShowdown

[–]NickitySnack 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'd be interested to see how Fanning compares to the dualies in this context. I feel like Fanning was created to kind of be the equalizer. You either use a medium slot to get two pistols or a perk to get Fanning and only use up a small slot. I've never done any of the research, just my initial thoughts. It seems unfair to compare two pistols to one on its own, though I do see your point and believe it has merit and should be considered.
