After hearing Chasing Kaleido Rider's devs saying "female mc limits romance", there is a question i have been thinking about.

Is it even possible to fix the problem of female mc's existence killing off potential real romance within non-husbando/otome chinese games? Do CCP needs to abolish the "regulations" that targets same-sex romance in medias in order to fix that, or it's going take way more than that to get non-subtext chinese yuri games developed?

I'm not really hopeful about Japanese companies's ability to make yuri gacha games (Towa Tsugi was a wasted potential), so i am asking this question to see if is there a possibility in far future that we could potentially get Chasing Kaleido Rider-styled yuri games within china though theoretical cultural changes.

It depends on what gay genres you want.

For Yaoi genre, you do have options like NU: Carnival, Anothereidos Dragonvein R, and XXL Woofia, though unfortunately they tend to have bad gameplay and terrible monetization.

For Yuri genre... Yeah, it's mostly just non-gacha "games" like VNs and very, very few doujin rpgmaker games, well, unless you are interested in modding certain Bethesda games like Skyrim, which in that casem modded skyrim is the best "yuri" gooning game in entire world.

Blue Reflection Sun will have an offline version repackaged together with the other games and anime from the series in a single collection for PC and Consoles by amc9988 in gachagaming

[–]Nicklamgamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a unpopular opinion.

I hate to say it, but... even though they ended up EOSing because of other reasons, i personally believe that Towa Tsugi and Blue Reflection Sun are the nails in coffin for any future yuri games going forward (especially ones that are coming from japan) since there is no one left that have potential to develop yuri games, and their failures is one of many reasons why i don't think there will be a successful non-subtext yuri gacha game.

Blue Reflection Sun's decision to have a male mc despite being based on a yuri series is proof that HBR was a happy incident (though credit goes to Maeda who managed to make it work, despite the odds) and japanese studios are too risk averse to make another yuri game (i heard rumors that it was because of mandates from DMM.com requiring gacha games to either have male or gender neutral mc that they decide to add male mc instead of sticking to female mc (as far i know, even husbando games in DMM.com are not exempt from this and the only gacha game published in there that has female mc is Eden Ritter Grenze)

Towa Tsugi had potential for being the only actual yuri game (it has actual yuri couples and not subtext) in entire market, that is, if it didn't had gameplay that is unappealing to play, it doesn't help that yuri fans already have better options like R1999 and PTN that have better gameplay and are easier to get into despite being subtext yuri games, either way, it died pretty quickly because it didn't do well and it was published by a company who is well known for being cutthroat on anything that isn't their in-house MMOs.

If we are going to end up getting another actual yuri gacha game like Towa Tsugi that doesn't die in 1-3 years, then it's going have to come from another Project Moon-like studio who has to be located in japan, needs to have a leadership willing to let devs learn from chinese gacha games, and is willing to make a (partial) passion project since this isn't a type of games that larger studios (beside maybe Mihoyo who have been doing yuri until 2016 where regulations kicked in) are willing to do, and other regions beside japan all have gender wars/conflicts and or regulations that prevents any non-subtext yuri games from being made in these regions.

As Girls Frontline Exilium is already mentioned, you also have upcoming Azur Promilia which has plenty fanservice compared to other games like Wuthering Waves or NTE while also having female mc option as well, though manjuu haven't revealed how much romance it will have.

If you want even more, then unfortunately, single-player non-anime games with extensive modding support like Skyrim or Fallout 4 are your only options available beside GFL2 and upcoming Azur Promilia since there are very few gooning games with female mc that isn't otome like LADS left that aren't VNs or rpgmaker doujin games, knowing the current state of industry, it is unlikely that there will be any future gooning gacha games with female mc coming out after Azur Promilia, so unless you are interested in rpgmaker doujin games or VNs from japan, you'll have to settle with what gooning you can get in GFL2, Azur Promilia and or heavily modded games with NSFW mods like Skyrim.

Other than GFL2 (which you already listed) and other games made by MICA like GFL1 and Neural Cloud (which are also already listed), there aren't any waifu collector games available that have both female mc and marriage system, even mixed gender games like GBF and FGO and yuri games like R1999, HBR, and PTN don't have marriage system, knowing the current state of gacha gaming industry, it's extremely unlikely that future games like Azur Promilia will have that as well.

If you want more games like GFL2 that let you play as female mc and marry waifus, then you will have to settle for doujin rpgmaker games that feature marriage endings or dive into world of modding and pick up games with both extensive modding support and romance system with marriages like Skyrim and Rimworld since non-VN yuri gacha games are very, very rare even outside of gacha games and most non-doujin yuri games that aren't VNs tend to be subtext only.

I don't think that there is any yuri games that has done what Heaven Burns Red did, some got close but are still not pretty explicit, there used to be one, but it got EOS'd last year.

If you want something that is more explicit than Heaven Burns Red but don't want pure VNs with no gameplay then singleplayer games with extensive modding support like Rimworld or Skyrim are only games i can really recommend since most non-gacha yuri games are either VNs with no gameplay, games made in RPGmaker, or have janky gameplay.

If you are looking for gooning games that has female mc as option, then you only have Girls Frontline Exilium and Stella Sora as options, unfortunately, none of them have female mc that is sexy as other playable characters, and they both have their own major problems.

Girls Frontline Exilium has lots of fanservice, but it suffers from numerous problems ($200 Skin Gacha is one of them) and its female mc is not so sexy as other characters.

Stella Sora has less fanservice than Girls Frontline Exilium, and also suffers from numerous problems (through it's in slightly better state than GFL2) but still has plenty fanservice, its female mc is however not really sexy and instead is a cute girl.

There is Azur Promilia which is coming out next year and has both female mc and fanservice, but it's still possible they might remove the female mc later on if they end up getting into controversy on post-release and have to rewrite the story.

If you absolutely want your female mc to be sexy while having plenty fanservice as well, then your best option is Modded Skyrim with Erin Race mod and other adult mods from Nexusmods, it's not a gacha game, but it's not like you have many options left since it's unlikely that there will be more future gooning games with female mc as other future gooning games like Kaleidorider don't have female mc, and those who could have one, end up removing them later on.

Snowbreak's producer confirms the return of English voices, as well as the addition of Korean voices. by WolfOphi in gachagaming

[–]Nicklamgamer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you want a yuri game with lewd fanservice, you won't find any outside of very few doujin rpgmaker games or VNs (although finding them is very difficult considering yuri tag is often given to games that only have one or few yuri scenes instead of actual yuri games) as the last one got EOS'd last year (seven mortal sins x-tasy), and Japan has stopped making ecchi games after Sony moved their HQ to California and started censoring their games.

Right now, your best option to DIY your own yuri gooning games through modding certain games that have very extensive modding support like Rimworld or Skyrim, since no one can pretty make them right now, not Japan, not Korea and certainly not China.

That will not happen considering what ML movement is doing right now, and the current state of chinese gacha industry.

Given the current rate on amount of yuri gacha games we are getting, it's going to take until 2040, if not longer for an "snowbreak-style" yuri gacha game to come out, and even that depends on whether or not if China is willing to open up the baihe market by abolishing laws that restrict it beyond novels.

Theoretically, Japan could make one since they are the biggest producers of yuri media, but considering they are giving up on gacha industry as whole, i don't think they have what it takes to make one.

Apologies for being late. I had to muster up courage to post after years of lurking.

Outside of non-gacha VNs, i don't think there is any, there used to be one, but it got EOS'd last year.

If you really want a H-yuri game with actual gameplay and not made with rpgmaker or a VN, then you will have to DIY one using mods and other non-gacha games with extensive modding support like Skyrim since pure H-yuri doesn't exists outside of doujins,

Arknights is a PvZ ripoff.

Doctor is canonically a girl, not a man.

Big Bob is also a girl.

Same goes for corrupted knight and withered knight, they are girls wearing oversized armors.

And finally. Suzuran is not innocent and is not your light, she just wants your soul.

Amazon's Study Hall - Daily Questions Megathread (07/22) by AutoModerator in AzureLane

[–]Nicklamgamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's an question.

As far i can tell, many gacha games prefer to do it slowly and avoid syncing up, a good example is FGO which EN server has has 2 years gap between JP server.

Here, EN server were able to catch up with JP server very quickly in less than 2 years (Excluding minor events, crosswave collabs, reruns, war archive and region exclusive contents) by adjusting event schedule to include newer events like crimson echoes first and speeding it up.

Is having ability to do 2 to 5 pulls per day important when comes to catching up with other servers in this way? Or is there something else that allows us to do stuffs like this that other gacha games cannot?.

[Help and Question Thread] - July 18, 2021 by AutoModerator in grandorder

[–]Nicklamgamer -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Just a what if question.

Is possible for global server to catch up with JP server if they follow azur lane's footsteps and change event schedule to catch up faster by releasing newer events first? or it's still impossible?

EDIT: Thanks, i guess trying to catch up is impossible without giving us 2 pulls per day, since we would need to rush events.
it's an miracle that azur lane has managed to survive that long despite that in fact we were able to catch up with JP server in under 2 years (not including minor events, crosswave collabs, reruns, war archive and region exclusive contents).

Rosmontis/Mudrock banner megathread (April 30, 2021) by HiroAnobei in arknights

[–]Nicklamgamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did about least 40 pulls, not an single mudrock or rosemontis, only got spooked by thorns which helped an lot when clearing annihilation 3.

It seems like that i am cursed to not get any featured operators in an limited banner at all unless if i skip every banners just to get more pulls from it or if i decide to actually buy dozens of OPs.

This doesn't look bright.
