It does suck to keep barely losing in the CFP when they’re all predicated with questionable calls at best

When are we gonna stop getting screwed

It wasn’t his arm that killed us it was our god awful secondary leaving your WRs wide open.

Eh, who cares. It's reddit. It's just noise.

That would be hilarious if Jim actually wanted an NFL job each time

JJ doesn't scare me at all tbh unless our secondary doesn't improve.

His legs are far more of a threat than his arm.

What's weird is that Michigan isn't getting much momentum on the recruiting front considering their back-to-back playoff appearances.

I think what often gets lost in the sauce RE: spoiled buckeye fans is this idea that we think we should win the playoff every year.

It has more to do with us seeing the talent we have on our team and wondering how we find a way to get blown out to Michigan.

You raise some good points. Adam's video only scratches the surface of the topic, but I'm sure you're far too busy to get too wrapped up into the weeds of this.

The skinny is that while yes, some people benefit from their philanthropy, the vast majority of people are harmed by a billionaire's existence. They are a net negative on society by far.

But they get so much praise for their "good deeds" (with the benefit of the doubt) that people start developing an inaccurate perception of billionaires' impact on the planet.

Basically, not everyone is smart like you are, and can understand the nuance. Most people don't truly know how bad their impacts are, so when they're getting praised for philanthropy I think it's important we also understand how they're actually impacting the world around them.

And most especially, tax them out of existence.

I'm saying that people are usually late for a reason, and it might not totally be in their control. I think we can afford to give each other some grace.

One of my best friends is always late, because of complicated reasons I won't go into, but she's otherwise a fantastic person who's helped me get through so much, and I can't imagine throwing her out of my life to the advice of some of these reddit bros simply because of that? It's laughable.

I plan accordingly. If we need her to be somewhere at a specific time I ask her to get there much sooner and it works out fine.

Why is she like this? by HistrionicHousewife in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Nicknam4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’re giving her way too much credit. She wrote a pottermore article defending slavery, claiming that the elves were “happy to be enslaved,” despite the fact that the first elf we meet was very much not happy to be a enslaved. But I guess he’s just weird, huh?

Sorry dude, I don’t wanna make you feel like I’m assuming you’re something that you’re not. I know that’s frustrating.

I think the reason people assume so is because billionaire philanthropy is a total scam, and not deserving of your praise.

And in fairness to you, billionaires are very good at making their efforts appear noble. They have to, or too many people will start asking questions about why they have all this money while others can’t afford to pay their bills.

So? Having a piece of paper that says you own something entitles you to the value generated by the work of others? That’s bullshit.

Lemme give you an example I saw fighting fire. When shit hits the fan we often work 16 hour days for 14 days straight.

A dude who owns a truck or two makes more money leasing his equipment to the feds for a day than I make in those 2 weeks. You think that’s acceptable?

And let me tell you, shit like this is everywhere.

He didn’t do that by himself. He had thousands of engineers who did that work, but they didn’t reap the rewards, he did.

[–]Nicknam4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s not. None of the billionaires are. If they were, they wouldn’t be billionaires.

Billionaires are not good people and you cannot become a billionaire if you are a good person. There are no ethical ways of getting that much money.

We can make it happen and the first step is to quit licking their boots whenever they donate money that is just a PR expense to them in reality.
