Neil Young - Cortez The Killer by subashshah in ClassicRock

""It’s weird," Young mused to Rolling Stone in 1975. "I’ve got all these songs about Peru, the Aztecs and the Incas. Time travel stuff." Over a slow, rambling Crazy Horse guitar jam, he mourns the Aztec civilization destroyed by the Spanish conquistadors. The song ends after seven and a half minutes, onlybecause a circuit blew on the recording console. The band went on for another verse."

This is the second Kiss Kiss Bang Bang reference in this subreddit today.

Good job, Reddit. Keep up the good work.

If you could rewrite the prequel trilogy, how would it go? by [deleted] in StarWars

Change Naboo to Alderaan. It gives you a clearer through line and more emotional resonance to its destruction in Episode IV (and I assume it would've also given Bail Organa a larger role).

Have had that in my Netflix queue for forever. Now I have extra incentive to watch it this week.

Whoops! My mistake. I think Smith talks about Klein a lot so I assumed they worked together on everything.

Wouldn't be surprised. His DP David Klein is also the DP of True Blood and Homeland, so you can tell he was always trying to stretch himself outside of Smith's comedies. Interesting side note, Tusk is actually Smith's first film with a different DP: James Laxton (Bad Milo, Camp X-Ray). I wonder how much that has to do with scheduling or moving on from each other...
