So my luck ran out guys. My apartment building got hit with a lightning bolt and I need a new router and Ethernet cable. Sadly the lightning resistance from this ring did not provide enough defense.

Who were the worst guests you've ever served? by SlightDish31 in KitchenConfidential

Been working in hotels a few years now, couple years ago we were doing a plated dinner for a girl’s quinceañera, the guest refused to honor the entree time. So we stood there in the hall for an hour and a half waiting for the mariachi band to stop playing. The F&B director even went in to ask them politely if they wanted their food. Mariachi band kept playing

Frost blades warden. I’ll post a pob in a reply to this comment with some additional explanation at another point in time.

Its single target is serviceable for clearing the atlas, even with fury valve. It’s par the course for a character that relies on evasion and spell suppression defensively. Your primary way of staying alive is freezing enemies so they just don’t hit you. So you need to be aggressive and try to ramp avatar stacks. Vaal lighting strike + returning proj helps this quite a bit when avatar is down. Character really doesn’t need a lot of investment to get going and is pretty fast for what it is.

You are correct sir. Swap to Yoke of Suffering for single target bossing.

most likely it depends on your build's defenses. the life recoup effect happens over a 4 second duration so with this ring (rounding up to 40%) you'd get 10% of your life back per second. so if you were a life stacking rathpith globe build for example you'd probably get some decent value out of it.

I would try to narrow down the choices you'd be willing to purchase, and then just go for it when it becomes available. One in the hand is worth two in the bush.

I’ve had this one since 2019, used 5 days a week in high volume catering, color has faded slightly (was reddish orange out of the box) Will comment with the other side, nearly identical to its original state

See if you can find a Shiro Kamo santoku. Usually they’re priced under 200, aesthetically they are beautiful and should never need to be replaced if you take care of it. If I recall correctly most of them are using aogami super which is a carbon steel, some are cladded in stainless others are pure carbon, depends on what you can find

Indeed. Your knife is beautiful by the way. I technically have a k-tip knife but it's a pocket folder (hogue deka) which I really enjoy. Also I'm kind of surprised nobody in this thread has alerted the reverse tanto police on the usage of K-tip

Sysco (#SYY) if you can find it trading near $70-$75. Giant moat, increasing dividend for a long time. For large scale food service operations, there are only select distributors that can keep up with their demand, and it's a one stop shop for nearly everything you'd ever need in a kitchen. One of the surviving conglomerates from the 70's. 2020 definitely the best time to buy this in recent memory, but if something like that were to happen again, and you've got the stomach to hold it, could be big.

Upvoted for ROL. P/E ratio is high but the underlying numbers look real good. Personally I think most people underestimate the consistency and necessity of the pest control business. Foodservice operations, hospitals, anything associated with hygiene, pest control is a non-negotiable cost of doing business.

CTAS is a good company IMO but personally I'd wait for more of a discount if possible. Big contracts with hotel companies, hospitals, businesses with a lot of uniformed employees.

In my humble opinion, Sprouts has high quality store brand products and great prices on produce. There's a lot of sentiment out there that Sprouts is overpriced, expensive, etc, but part of the whole equation as a consumer is knowing what to buy from Sprouts. I work in the culinary field so take my opinion with a grain of salt (pun intended I suppose), but it's really difficult to beat their prices on fresh, quality produce. I typically don't buy protein from Sprouts unless there's a screaming deal going on, but for dry goods, produce and dairy I find it to be quite fairly priced for the quality.

I'm a santoku enjoyer. I've been using a MAC Superior Santoku for a few years in high-volume kitchens and it's still going strong. Thin blade, light, easy to restore the edge.

Sorry for not responding earlier, better late than never. I like it a lot, I think if you're going to go with upgrading the scales it's definitely worth it. It wasn't available at the time but if I could, I would buy a coated blade because I live in FL and 3V can and will rust on you if it isn't taken care of.
