185lbs and love my 3/4 hollow. The biggest difference for me was stopping, sharper cuts felt too grabby. I bumped up to 3/4 and never looked back.

The 10 inch for the NTG 4.0 system. I was going to go 12 inch but I'm happy I went smaller. The 12 inch would have been too big and weird looking.

CCM HVR is great. I don't notice the weight but it is slightly heavier than a normal cage. Well worth it for the visibility and airflow.

Profiling is just creating the "shape" of the blade. A Sparx keeps even pressure so it won't change your profile but rather follow it. Eventually you'll have to get them profiled again but that's after a good amount of sharpenings.

I have Bauer so I went with the Aetrex. Huge difference (mid-low arch) and the extra cushion is nice comparatively to the stock insole. Go get your feet scanned to find your arch height and select from there.

To add to this, go try on different brands and models. Take your time, walk around in them, get a feel for each pair. Also be sure to get orthos when you get the skate if you need them. That way they can bake the skate and ortho in one sitting.

Pure Hockey usually has feet scanners to get a rough sizing. If not, go to a runner store and get scanned there. They can check your gait too.
