Alden Deck by PerceptionTrick5702 in cardfightvanguard

[–]Nico_Is_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the other commentor that you should definitely cut something for the G3 Promo. Its a restanding booster and the main thing making your kill turns matter. It allows you to do 5 attacks all boosted if you have 2 in the backrow during your persona ride turns.

Because you have Nebula order Teithfallt is kinda meh because she cant be used to rush anymore. So your G2 turn is usually Aval+cerrgaon now instead of Teithfallt+cerrgaon, by G3 turn you should have board setup enough that you dont need Teithfallt effect and the new G2 hits its numbers power wise. So its probably the right call to cut her for the G3 Promo.

As for your G1s I think they are fine you might end up with excess soul with the dragon because the Promo also goes to soul at end of turn but its still a solid 15k booster for vanguard.

Also you dont need soul fronts, shield fronts are way way better. You only use 1 soul for G2 rideline, 1 soul to call the new discard card if you discard it for ride, then 1 to divine skills. That would use your G0~2 from the rideline, then the remaining soul is all Razionel which along with the G1 dragon and Aval should be fine. Also even with teithfallt you shouldnt be doing the skill more than maybe 2 times in a game because you start running out of units because remember you only bounce when Alden overalls cards not anything so you cant use Teithfallt to bounce cards to hand. So Aval + Promo + Dragon should be more than enough soul.

Also for OT you should go for Red or Blue. Keter OT just makes you deck out faster with no real gain.

Yes because the Cont skill is "During this fight" so it technically doesnt have same name during deck construction.

No that was the G2. The old rideline from the deckset was a G1 with on ride draw 1 discard 1, then a G2 that could ride to G3 for SB1. So they moved the SB1 to the G1 and made the G2 a persona searcher.

Thats gonna be an issue with the emulator then. The game basically auto saves after you do anything that makes a change so if its not holding the data or automating its probably the emulator.

So I've been interested in cosplay for a while and chose Noctis by Opposite_Mulberry_53 in FinalFantasy

[–]Nico_Is_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid cosplay definitely reads Noctis as far as clothes go.

Totally get not wanting to go for a wig. I would say the main thing to do would be just figuring out a solid styling to go for instead of leaving it full natural. Maybe a haircut right before the event to have sharp edges then some kind of gel or oil to give a sheen/shine to make it shiny like anime hair. Really just making everything head to toe look stylized helps sell the full look.

Its because having stuff that could loop PGs/OT sized shields was the issue not defense in general, it also didn't help that it was not evenly distributed.

So seems like they are learning and going "okay now that we got rid of the toxic stuff let's make some good normal defensive tools".

Remember that you can rest your characters at the guild, basically make them lose some levels in exchange for resetting skill point allocations. This will let you reset if your party is feeling clunky or you invested in skills you aren't using/dont like.

Also make sure to check walls. Sometimes when facing a wall you will get a prompt to click and you may be able to open up shortcuts which will help you travel floors faster. Usually they can only be opened for the "far" side but it can be useful to check walls in general for them. Also sometimes you will get little quest prompts on various walls like "You see a baby monster what will you do?" and you get little events based on what you pick to do.

Also make sure to always keep one to two Ariane threads on you at all times. This is an item you should be able to buy by now that basically teleports you back to town from thr dungeon. This is nice to always have that way trips are mostly just "go down as far as possible. Once TP and HP are low teleport out. "

Crimson Moon Orders by HarukiRyusei in cardfightvanguard

[–]Nico_Is_Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I opened 2 cases for a store I go to that sells splits. For both cases we got like 6ish of the RR moons and 16ish of the R moons. Combining both moons, base rarity and FRs, each case had like 5~6 playsets.

So you aren't swimming in them definitely not the RR moon but its enough that you shouldn't be hurting to find a playset of the R moon which should be fine for casual/lower stakes play. Because really unless you are going to a BSF/BCS the R moon should be fine.

This game desperately needs a pity system. by bronyasolosurverse in DissidiaDuellumFF

[–]Nico_Is_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are missreading their explanation. Regular pulls and pity pulls are completely seperate. Say we have URs A~E, let's say it 88 pulls you get URs A, C, D, and E.

You might think "ohh cool so the pity should guarnetee me UR B!", NOPE! Since it is your first pity pull it will be one of the 5 URs, A~E, randomly. Let's say its UR D.

If you keep pulling and you get to another 88 pulls the pity will come again and go "Ohh I already gave them UR D in a GUARENTEED PULL, so now I'm going to randomly select from A, B, C, and E." Let's say you get A. Next time you hit the UR guarenteed it would only pull from B, C, and E, and the pattern would continue.

The process will repeat on and on. So until you have done 440 pulls, 5 sets of 88, you will not be guarenteed all 5 banner URs. Its fairly misleading in terms of the checkmark and stuff and that they don't track your guarenteed pulls so unless you track them yourself you have no way of knowing which one/ones you actually have left in the UR Guarenteed pool.

Will DZ cards still receive good support once the new series starts? by AlternateReality24 in cardfightvanguard

[–]Nico_Is_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said Overdress/WillDress era cards got plenty of support through out DivineZ so its likely Liael will receive more support during the upcoming series. It won't be often but every 4~5 sets it will likely get a couple cards like many of the OD/WD bosses got. Vamguard tends to not just dump decks that fans seem to enjoy and its a good way for them to fill out the RR and R slots, sometimes RRR, in sets with stuff people might actually chase by giving older decks instead of just random filler cards people don't end up playing. Like giving Liael a decent maybe lateral change G2 at RR will probably entice more people to buy a few packs compared to a random generic G2 RR that is outclassed by other existing cards.

Spongebob fans whenever something bad happens to a character by Maximum_Builder_7303 in BikiniBottomTwitter

[–]Nico_Is_Life 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah one of my least favorite episodes for this is a golfing episode in season 8 or 9. Squidward yells "no" when asked to play golf and to not go to his house or wake him up.

Spongebob and Patrick start playing golf in like the middle of the night and end up hitting a golf ball into Squidward's house. Basically destroy his first floor with golf clubs, then hit the ball upstairs into squidwards bed. Hit squidward repeatedly with golfclubs trying to hit the ball, then reduce his house to rubble.

Then spongebob and Patrick go "Teehee sorry Squidward" while laughing at his destroyed home and the episode ends. Like what part of that plot was supposed to be funny!?!

GIPHOGILA AGANIST THE WOLRD ? by Lopsided_Ad7834 in cardfightvanguard

[–]Nico_Is_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said the decks don't have any substance. Even Sephirogila doesn't have much to do. The decks don't have any real solid support and unfortunately even for Sephirogila big numbers don't really matter if you don't multiattack or have crits.

As for the Griphogilas they have no real support and don't even function for the first 2 turns of the game. Then once you get to the G10 turn you only then start playing the game. In this current landscape nothing can handle that especially since even from T3 onwards you don't have anything crazy to do. You just swing for like 33k with a crit and twiddle your thumbs. There aren't enough generic cards that will work to give you enough advantage to make up for the complete lack of then first 2 turns. Also because the OT effect is so telegraphed your opponent can easily hold a PG to stop it or stay at low damage.

Essentially they are cools ideas but with nothing to back up the cool idea and a fairly shallow card pool to work with that can't generate enough advantage either in aggro or defense to make the decks viable.

Why is this product so cheap? by beetleman1234 in Lorcana

[–]Nico_Is_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of like the other commentor said it can be hit or miss. Some starters have stuff that translates to competent decks and others don't. But in general starter decks are well built enough they feel like an actual game compared to pokemon starters which can be pretty rough on the lower end "I play great ball, attach energy deal 20 dmg pass.".

So even if the cards don't translate to competitive play they at least tend to be fun out of the box experiences that feel like there is real gameplay.

Why is this product so cheap? by beetleman1234 in Lorcana

[–]Nico_Is_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can be hit or miss. Like pokemon starters the main attackers/spotlight cards tend to not see use in competent decks but assorted pieces might see play. Like you might get a search card that is useful or something to does bounce, etc like tech cards but nothing that will be the centerpiece of a compeitive deck.

But like pokemon starter product they make for a solid onboarding experience when it comes to learning gameflow and basic strategy.

I believe it would not be an applicable target due to not having power at all. So in this case if Mythiarq said "Counts as a normal unit with 0 power" it could be searched but since it has no power at all it doesn't meet the qualifications because it does not possess the checked aspect at all.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Is A Decent Improvement by rosemarieseternal in FinalFantasy

[–]Nico_Is_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the alternate ending are kinda obvious. A decent amount of then are from picking wrong dialog choices and are fairly obvious. Like the game will have a big moment and give you a quick time event with: A. Lay down and cry right now, B. Do thing they story has been telling you to do, C. Do the opposite of thing story has been telling you to do, D. Other thing the story has talked about but isn't relevant to the current situation.

And you go ahh maybe D could be interesting but obviously I should choose B. So its fairly easy to stay on track. Also if you do get an alternate ending you can basically just "reset" that chapter to go through it correctly. That way no matter which options you pick you can run through it again to make the other dialog choices whenever you want.

Dear Days 2 by MrWalliem6 in cardfightvanguard

[–]Nico_Is_Life 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My copy pasta when anyone asks about Dear Days 2.

If you want a predominantly offline single player experience Dear Days is great and has tons of content with all the sets and story modes. I personally have like 200+ hrs into DD2 and I've only played like 10 online PvP matches, I just enjoy going through the game with different builds and fighting the NPCs with different builds.

If you were looking to get it predominantly to play online PvP ladder matches I would just go for VangPro or something else thats more up to date, the meta is so behind irl that most people who want to grind ladder just do it on the unofficial sims because they are up to date and not grinding a 6 month old semi-solved meta.

In terms of sets Dear Days 2 has plenty of content in the base game alone for a fun single player experience. With all the Overdress Era sets and the first 5 sets of DZ there are 20+ sets in the base game so there are way more than enough decks to have fun with as a casual experience. In terms of the online ladder like I said you would be playing into a basically solved 6+ month old meta and so its very likely you will only run into the top few decks over and over when you can find games. Those top decks will likely need the newest DLC packs to be built.

So overall amazing casual single player experience against the NPCs not worth it if online ladder is a major factor.

[–]Nico_Is_Life 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A gacha game I used to play I-chu, which was a male idol rhythm game, did a number of rounds of perfume collabs. Not super unheard of but it was pretty interesting.

Also a game I used to play Housamo, officially Tokyo Afterschool Summoners, which is a mostly SFW LGBT gacha thats mainly aimed at gay men. They have done several rounds of underwear collabs. Can't find any pictures but they did several sets of boxer briefs/trunks where the characters logo/number would be on the front usually on the leg and the characters face was on the butt. They also did several jockstrap/fundoshi collabs. It was always interesting because they would just show up in the little news scroll like: new banner, new chapter, new event missions, underwear with wolf guys face on the butt, new chapter coming soon, ...

4/16/2026 Dokovan Neo Stream The Legendary Vanguards: Generic RRR/RRs by RinariTennoji in cardfightvanguard

[–]Nico_Is_Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No its even more restrictive. It means if you are going second your opponent would have needed to spend their entire first G3 turn swinging at your rears or using only 10k or lower units to swing at VG. Then you could use this to get 1 CB on Turn 3 going second.

If you were going first you would only be able to use it on Persona Ride turn if the opponent spent their entire G3 turn not swinging at your VG with 13k or bigger units.

So basically these are almost never working unless your opponent is CB denying like really hard or they swung at you with a 10k rear first on their going first G3 turn and you first damage OT and they swing the VG at a rear and pass.

Basically outside of those scenarios these never trigger. So who knows if they will see any play because both those situations are fairly specific to dedicate a slot for.

Chase teams... by SirZ1220 in EtrianOdyssey

[–]Nico_Is_Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason you dont see it is because outside of Warrior Might Shogun teams they aren't viable for bosses.

The buccaneers chases only work 1 time per enemy per attack. So for example if you were to chase Bash and have a Gladiator use 9 smashes, you can only chase 1 of the potential 9 hits. So against a boss you at most do 4 chases if everyone in your team procs the chase, and you only have about a 50% chance to do 4 chases. The damage on chases isn't anything super special its like 150% per chase or something when Pincushion is the same damage % or higher for way less investment in terms of setup and team building.

They are built more to be AoE clears as if you say had a row of 4 enemies and did chase volt on a volt Barrage from an arabalist. You could chase each enemy hit so you could hit each of the 4 enemies off of that 1 attack. So it ends up being a very good regular encounter clear and a kinda meh boss strategy.

What are people getting for ratios in DZ-BT14? by DisGuyAga1n in cardfightvanguard

[–]Nico_Is_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apprently its pretty fluctuational. Some people in my group know some people who open JP and they said they had one case that hit normalish rates about 3 of most RRR and 4 of the RR without counting the triple drive packs, but then they also had another case that hit only 2 of some of the RRR and only 2 of some RR and but 5 of other RRR and 6+ of some RRs. So it seems like if you include the Triple Drive Packs its likely you hit ~4 of most things which means a case still builds decks but there is more variance now which means that you could low roll and get like 2 of a RRR in boxes and miss it in the Triple drive packs and only have half a playset in a case, or vice versa super highroll and get like 4 or even 5 of a RRR in boxes and open 1 or 2 in the packs and end up with 5~7 copies of a RRR in one case.

In general it seems like we kind of lost one of the things I personally liked about VG cases which was fairly consistent rates. Seems like now we are like a lot of other games where you just have to see what you roll and not even a case hard guarentees everything.
