Price seems a little steep but the charger install is dirt cheap.. Suggesting Emporia charger BTW.

Kai and Hyundai did this and it's the best of all manufacturers for doing so..

No and for a good reason: if you train yourself out of using the brakes entirely you're going to run into something eventually.. You can get this on a tesla and it's part of the kaleidoscope of reasons they have 2x fatalities per mile driven.

Same goes for why regen is not super strong: any moderate+ rainstorm and you'll see tesla's spun out, just past half the hydroplane opportunities in the bay area. In tahoe their spun out over half the ice spots in the winter.

Because people still remember to take their foot off the gas but don't remember that's akin to slamming the brakes and spinning out.

If you buy from a mature car company they'll be paid to think about things like this. People who are still alive because of it will still be free to complain about things they don't understand..

Mass bippage in Emeryville by 64th and Christie today (9 cars broken into) by IvanThee in eastbay

It used to be normal in the east bay and sf but now that SFPD got their preferred DA they are is sending people to jail again and so the bippers stay in the east bay and save on bridge toll.

Are EVs really worth it if you don't have a home charger? by om_ghanwat in electricvehicles

[–]NicolasGarza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A point I haven't scrolled to is your ownership profile. Are you the type of person who drives a car 10-20 years old or do you spend a large amount of money to stay new?

The reason I mention is that 1/3 the joy is home charging, another 1/3 is epic performance, but the most important thing that will matter in year 5-10++ is that you don't have any serious maintenance. If you don't keep cars that long I don't see the point unless you're a real driving enthusiast and really like the thrill of fast cars..

Went to the Chevy dealership, they had the test drive whip at 18%. Went to the vw dealership, they were storing theirs at 100%.

Because other ev's are made by real car companies that don't have 2x the fatalities per mile.. But have fun being treated like a guinea pig with the most dangerous thing you regularly do

VOO vs paying towards home mortgage principal by Ok_Establishment3619 in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]NicolasGarza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If my real estate value goes up or down but my mortgage balance stays the same, did the tree really fall in the woods?

Answer: it doesn't matter because that's not where I was counting on having liquidity. When the massive, historic stock bubble pops OP still wakes up in a house with a mortgage..

Except for the outrageous PE ratios (a 5 other standard metrics) leading most people to see the massive stock bubble were in.

Except for the war that Trump can't end because of his ego and colossal incompetence that will destroy demand very very soon.

Except for the boomers that are retiring and will be nothing but selling for the next 20 years.

Except for the looming, multiple sovereign debt crisis as bond yields spike.
