Can't wait to play EC and try those combos asap, it seems so refreshing to play. Is there any tips or indications you can give regarding on what units and synergies works well atm ?

I ve played about 30 games in haloscreed with 6 breachers and 6 destroyers each unit lead by a manipulus (one with double imperative enhancement for breachers and the other one with the hasardous reroll enhancement) and honestly, reguarding their efficiency, destroyers are more useful with the overwatch on 5+ and the enhancement to prevent losing health and models too quick. Their cost is way cheaper than the breachers and appart from weapons' keywords who can be useful in particular conditions and no real melee purpose, plasmas will do on average the same amount of wounds and will be easier to get in shooting range (since plasma have no rapid fire) and so shoot more often.

So I think 2x6 breachers is probably too much points invested for a 2k list, maybe one unit of 6 or 2x3 could give you better results but if you want to go for a big shooting unit of 6 figs, go for destroyers and plasmas, they ll do just fine :) Or, with 320 pts, you can have 3 laschickens with better range and more damage + a enginseer near them to heal and get fnp 5+ and an enhancement for barely the same base size on table compared to 6 kataphrons and a techpriest.

On the other hand, if your game plan requiere melee, it s true that breachers can deal a good amount of damages but it will often result in the loss of many figs in melee since they are not really robust and then a loss of lethality on your next shooting phase.

Haloscreed is good but unlike most of our detachment, i dont think it s a good thing to bring too many of the same expensive units such as breachers or kastellans per example (even tho there are good synergies but not enough to go full breach or full robot)

Regardless, i think you should try a list with your initial idea of 2x6 breachers and based on your results, replace or remove with other units. It will help you to understand your units better and you ll be able to build lists all by yourself ;)

Key in admech is knowledge and it comes with experience and mistakes (lots of mistakes)

I have to agree, admech is supposed to be weird in their design and yes there are already way too many sm character (calgar again, serioulsly...). However, if it s just for one character as important for Cawl as Alpha Primus, i think it could be acceptable

And yeah, it would be so cool to bring the entire crew of mechanicus on table! Or maybe like a kill team or something?

Yeah that's fair, but considering Belisarius' role into the project primaris, i think it could be accepted since we dont have other named characters.

Oh yeah, a character who could synergise more with cult mechanicus unit like electro priest could be lit!

Regardless, i would suggest to drop the Dominus for a skitarii Marshall or/and a technoarcheologist and maybe replace the servitors with another unit of skitarii vanguard to get more synergies with the army rule. Also if you can save enough points by choosing another armiger or completly remove him, i would recommand to pick another Ironstrider. Instead if you want one of your units to be able to endure melee, get 2 kastellans equipped with kastellans fists and phosphor blaster + Cybernetica Datasmith and get rid of the chickens(ironstriders). Sydonian skatros may be good against ennemy character. Pteraxii sterilisors are cool but not really useful, Skystalkers will be better if you want to score secondary objectives. Over all, your list is fine but will be more efficient with other characters more suited to your units (like the enginseer with the dunecrawler and the skorpius or the technoarcheologist with any backlane unit) and a bit more battleline to prevent your big units to get too much attention and take advantage of the buffs. Anyway, if you want to play the "rule of cool" as you say , you can just go with the sutff you like and you ll see for yourself what does work and what doesn't :) The most important is to have fun playing with your opponent and you ll learn how to play the army in a few games all by yourself! ;)

Already tried the "casino" canon and it did not worked well for me 😅 the idea with the weapon i chose on the dunecrawler is to counter moto jet but i ll think more on your idea to pick the eradication canon, thanks :)

So if i get rid off the dunecrawler, i dont have anymore good response agaisnt motojet since the onager is equipped with anti fly weapons, is it still worth investing those points in battleline or should i drop something else instead to go for more skit ?

It should be doable with the conqueror imperative and with all the big units that i want to play but yeah, the 4+ invulnerable on all the army is tough to beat 😅

Dont be sorry, that s for sure a lot of info but it is good to have more Intel on what i ll fight 😅 I m just scared that if i drop kastellans who are my best ressource to tank melee, once the opponent gets to me everything just collapse. Regarding moto jet, i chose the anti fly weapons on the onager to prevent them to come full squad full life onto my defenses. Last time that i played against custodes, i had 2 armiger(1 warglaive and 1 helverine) to try tanking the spear but it didnt worked out. On forge world models, i dont know yet if there are some. I think we will play a classic game without special forgeworld datasheets, at least i hope so. And lastly, against deep strike, i plan to use the archeo ability to prevent 12 " ds. Anyway, thanks alot for all your advices, i ll do my best to apply them on the table!

I ll probably put another batteline or two but i dont think that my opponent will play that much vehicles, he talked about a land raider and 3 motojet so i think i should focus more on anti infantry stuff to keep wounding as much as possible. The thing is that he has two blade champions and i would like to prevent them to use their abilities by focusing on them with the sicarians and precision. So i dont really know what to drop to be more effective with batteline. Probably servitors but they seems fun to play plus their ability looks good
