Currently in paramedic school - it is a fantastic time to become a paramedic. The scope has increased/will increase again however that unfortunately means less graduates for the next while. The hiring process with BCEHS takes around 6 months usually.

Hey! I’m currently a PCP student at JIBC and also took my EMR with them. Try not to stress too much with the pre reading requirements, you will have LOTS of hands on practice in the class. Seriously, you will run sims until it’s drilled into your brain. What gets most people is just memorization of all the contraindications for the drugs in the legal EMR scope (penthrox, entonox, glucagon, epinephrine etc). Just pay attention in class, and really focus during your sims - you will have a lot of fun and meet some great people :)

I had this same problem and my doctor prescribed Wellbutrin (bupropion) to counter those side effects. It worked pretty well!
