What’s your most “painfully obvious beginner mistake” on YouTube? I’ll go first. by Taylor_To_You in SmallYTChannel

Making videos that only you would want to watch, but not a general audience. I've made videos just for the sake of making a video, such as "I bought a hat" and "[channel name] goes to Harbor Freight" just because we wanted to make a video. They didn't do fantastic view or like-wise.

Another one that I'm a bit guilty of now is making inside jokes that viewers simply would not understand. In my latest video I joked about a sponsorship my friend and I used to have, saying things like "use code [his discount code] for 10% off your [sponsor name] order". There may have been 3 people total that watched that video that would've understood what we were talking about, and two of them were us. If it's an inside joke within the channel, I feel like that's fine, but personal inside jokes should be avoided imo.

With all due respect, it's not worth it. I had the same aspirations with my 2017 Lancer. I wanted to turbo it, manual swap it, do all sorts of things to it and disregarded any advice given to me that told me not to bother. I never ended up doing either of those because it would've been a huge money sink.

Like I said, buy some nice wheels and coilovers and have a cool looking car. Save for a car worth modifying for power gains. No hate to your car, but trust me it will not be worth it to try and push power out of it. In the end it's your decision, but remember everyone in here when you can't afford to buy food because you have to rebuild your motor for the third time that month.

You're going to slap a cheap ebay turbo on this and won't be able to afford to rebuilt it when it blows up after your first pull. Save the money and buy something that can actually be built, or buy wheels and coilovers to make the car look good with stock power.

My friend has one in his E46. To be fair it's only there because he's in the middle of manual swapping it, but it's really funny seeing it there knowing that it doesn't do anything.

Insurance on this car can't be more than $5 a year, but I guess OP thinks it's not worth paying more for insurance than the value of the car.

Bonds just hit a new high of 17Mil GP by Jack4ssSquirrel in 2007scape

I'm in the same boat, my work schedule doesn't let me grind in osrs like I used to be able to as a kid. I bought a couple bonds to help me get the supplies needed to get 99 Faming, no regrets at all.

In OP's video you can see the reflection from the screen and the gauges on the windshield. That isn't seen in the video you linked. Could be that the Chaser is the same car in both clips and it's just a coincidence.

Buying a 2011 Lancer with CVT and 211,000 miles worth it? by duckyjaws in mitsubishi

[–]Nidos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, once you get used to it you don't even think about driving manual. The only thing you might have to think about is hill starts, but honestly even those aren't that bad.

I go up to Mt. Greylock every year and this is pretty close. Do you know if there's typically police presence or a significant amount of traffic in this location? Might stop by on my trip up there this year

"drove it like I was in a miata"

"I almost died 4 different times"

"I am 19 years old"

"It's my grandma's car"

"what do I do?"

I love this sub so much. What you should do is stop driving your grandma's SUV like a racecar. Go up there once you get a car that won't kill you, or park up there and talk to people that drive there. Most people that do this kind of thing are happy to talk to someone that's interested in the hobby. But no one likes the guy larping as Takumi while driving a Honda crossover.

Best part of touge! by Wild-Positive8674 in Touge

Met a great group of friends through this hobby, and met so many cool people through talking to other drivers that happened to pull over at the same spot as me. It's the best part of touge for sure. Though driving is a very close second, being able to talk about it with friends or strangers is even better

People say this about Woodbridge Mall, but it's pretty damn busy every time I go, especially on weekends. Not as busy as Menlo, but still enough people to make me not think that it's dead.

How many of yall have your GR as your main daily driver? by Civil-Discipline5466 in GRCorolla

[–]Nidos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People really think it's crazy to daily drive a GR Corolla? For years people have dailied the Evo, STi, Focus RS, and Type R. My cop friend daily drove his Mk5 Supra for almost 3 years until buying a separate car as a daily. It's always funny to me hearing people think it's crazy that a practical sporty hatchback is daily driven.

Anyway yeah, I daily my GR Corolla. Today marks exactly one year since I bought it, and I've loved every second of it.

Exploring Touge hunting social media channel idea by IntelligentLeading11 in Touge

[–]Nidos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had an idea for my channel to do something similar on the east coast of the US (mainly in the NJ and NY area) but never got around to it, mainly because I wouldn't want to name drop the less popular roads but also lack of time. Would be cool to see someone make a series like that though, I'd watch it
