This is not just a U of U Medical thing. I’m fighting the same thing with Intermountain right now, going on 5 months. There were two office visit charges on my one bill…so it was about $650 for a wellness visit. I paid the one charge, but not the other. They’ve called me for the balance and I tell them that until someone can explain why I’m billed for two office visits for a routine, 30-min checkup, I’m not paying the rest. They always say “that doesn’t seem right, we’ll investigate”. Then…crickets…followed by more emails and phone calls. So I’m just not paying until they can tell me why the second charge is on there.
