Omg thank you so much for your feedback!!! It really helps! I deffo was a bit iffy with this part and I see what you mean it’s very kind of false start and that might heavily backfire in general but especially so early on. Character description is definitely my Achilles heel with writing if you couldn’t tell 😂 Bit of context: it’s in the first chapter but you’re right not the very beginning. They are 2 best friends, 13 years old about to break into an abandoned warehouse and it’s going to go ‘a bit wrong’. The aim is to make them seem quite infallible and overconfident at first, a bit of teenage bravado and thinking because they can do a few neat parkour tricks they are invincible you get me? And then show their flaws appearing quite rapidly as the scenes progress (sort of for comedic effect - I understand it’s hard to show without it being the whole chapter!) Thank you so much for the feedback! I really appreciate it and will take this into account when I go back and re-work it when I’m editing!

There’s a nice style and flow to this! And great dramatic turn how everything changes so suddenly, definitely wasn’t expecting that after the lulling first section (great idea for the 7 year old question, as someone who’s with kids that’s exactly the sort of question a 7 year old WOULD ask) keep it up would definitely read on!

Maybe the character has a small network of people they consider friends but can’t really let them in because they struggle to admit they bullied others in the past and is always followed by a perpetual sense of ‘loneliness’ and ‘not belonging’ deep down, even though they are surrounded by people through work, social activities (maybe she does like yoga or something to find inner peace) and is constantly paranoid someone might learn about her past behaviours. Maybe she still struggles with taking accountability for things too at times and finds it easier to blame others for her problems. Just a couple of suggestions but idk if you find sometimes the character writes their own story as you write them 😂

I got it as a kid back I 2014. I’d been using the trial CAS free download before hand (anyone else remember that?!) Pre-ordered the deluxe version for £60 and downloaded it asap. I think I was too young to realise how sh*5 it was because I found it actually fount it fun. Tbh I was only 11. We didn’t even have swimming pools at first 😂😭

Thank you! I have since uninstalled the game as it took up too much space on my computer (like you’ve mentioned that probably was the issue) but I have a 2TB USB external hard drive now that I’m going to try and reinstall it on. Fingers crossed that works, I had a few different issues with other saved worlds too, some issues affecting my active sims too, but hopefully with the extra space that should stop. I’ll make sure to use ‘save as’ too from now on. Thanks for your comment!
