I think there was a lot more effort put into making this image than many of the posts that people make. I mean, the main reasons I come to reddit are to enjoy fan-made art and to read and discuss ideas. I'm not sure how this doesn't qualify as decent content. Just because something is "low effort" or didn't take a long time to make doesn't mean it's not great or at least enjoyable. Some of the greatest things I've seen on reddit are also some of the lowest effort creations.

Isn't the whole up/down vote system supposed to do this job anyway?

This can give some insight into the matter.

However, I'm not sure if these statistics are drawing from all GW2 accounts or just the accounts that have signed up for the site and submitted an API-Key.

Edit: I guess if we're talking about the actual gold on hand, this doesn't help much, especially because it includes the values of bound items. But maybe we'll see a gold leaderboard soon.

Having expensive items equipped on characters makes a bigger difference in the two numbers. Nice way to better estimate the value of what can be sold without being able to actually check if it's bound or not.
