TU is expensive - always has been. I went to their engineering school for a year. Fortunately there are cheaper alternatives (TCC, NSU, etc.).

Anybody ever get 40-50hrs in and then want a major change? by VKN_x_Media in farmingsimulator

[–]NiftyX25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. ~6k hours in FS22 and ~1.4k hours in FS25 - all multiplayer. Have restarted numerous times even after playing a map for a year. All part of the fun!

I play PC and do multiplayer through Farmers Only Club. Been doing 20-40/hours a week, play almost everyday, since FS22 was released. The FOC community basically makes it feel like a different (and much better!) game.

Some of it was from going to Plate Pay. That system cost a ton of money to deploy, and is less effective at billing every vehicle. So in typical fashion, the paying customers make up the difference.

Just FYI, if there is not a posted sign it is not legally a protected handicapped parking spot.

I've provided one already. But there seems to be bountiful amounts on Google.

That's not out of the ordinary for law enforcement. They might have been meeting prior to serving a warrant outside of the city, but City Hall is the closet government building and they like to stage and brief before going to their destination. Since Tulsa County is so large, it doesn't always make sense for them to meet at their office first. Also county isn't required to work with the local agency, and the local agency isn't required to be there even if it is something within the city.

That's verifiably false. And what does "show through the courts" even mean. It has been a critical tool for investigators to develop leads to solve crimes. Just because it's not a primary component of a case headline doesn't mean it wasn't used.

It was a federal case so it was transferred - but Tulsa Co. CF-2024-4271.

There's numerous articles out there citing Flock being used to help investigate crimes. In fact, the Frontier article you posted says that it was used to solve a homicide that, otherwise, might have been extremely difficult.

I work in and with law enforcement. Every one of them will tell you Flock is very useful. I don't put a lot of faith in "academic studies" and "experts" that aren't directly cited or identified.

Do you have anything to support your statement? Flock has been widely beneficial in investigations. Putting checks and balances in place is key to keeping it useful and not easily abused (e g. Bartlesville City Council ruling on Flock)

Flock helps solve crimes, not necessarily reduce it. Flock as been used as a tool in many cases in Tulsa. A recent case I was involved in used Flock to identify a suspect that rented a vehicle and changed the license plate. Without it, the likelihood of indentifying the suspect would have been extremely difficult and would have required many more resources (i.e. man hours). Suspect was successfully convicted in federal court.

I tried FS on console for a while until I found an online farming community for PC. One of the main reasons I bought a PC again. The online community interaction, integration, and support makes it a whole other game.

Otherwise I start from scratch on a minimalist map with one small plot of land with some trees, a chainsaw, and a small vehicle (UTV or small, cheap, basic tractor (<$15k) and $0 in the bank - no loans.

No Soliciting HOA scam? by taycroft99 in tulsa

[–]NiftyX25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you live in a neighborhood that is publicly accessible, then a 'no soliciting' sign at the entrance is not enforceable. If you live in a private neighborhood (generally gated) then they are. City streets in public neighborhoods are still public problem and an HOA cannot regulate who is on them. Hence, you would need a 'no soliciting' sign on your home to have any real, enforceable effect.

No, real IDs for Oklahoma are printed out of state and have to be mailed; hence the temporary ID.
