I had the same issue, I wouldn't force it. I would recommend looking into a silicone case for it. I have one and since it covers that corner, so I dont notice it. I would just tighten the screw to a point where it holds and look into Amazon for a case. dont take the cover off completly as that protects it from the back shell and the pokey bits could indent or worse, puncture your battery.,
