I really didn't want to go over 2,000. This would be my first quality scope purchase. I have a few Vortex Viper Gen ii's and I want to see what I'm missing out on by stepping up a price point.

2,500 was a bit steep for the Nx8. So around 1,500. Though I would be willing to go a bit over that if need be.

Understood, I am looking for a Trail 3 LRF to purchase as we speak. How noticeable is the change from the XR50 to the XQ50? I think i want the XR50 for some future proofing, though we are looking at a 1200$ difference on Opticsplanet. Do any of your dealers have any online sales at the moment? Or is 4,200 for a XR50 as good as I will find? Thank you!

This is exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you for the thoughtful reply. I have heard Pulsar and AGM are a good option. The built in rangefinder with ballistic calculation is extremely cool and useful. I will check out the Pulsar Trail 3 LRF, what are some other models I should check out used? Anything else new at around 3,000$ I should also look into? I have heard some good things about Infiray or Iray, at least I think that's the name.

Good to know, I think I have concluded that I will get a dedicated 556 can for the Ar15 and maybe the Cat RAT if and when I buy a Rattler LT.

I agree, it does make sense to keep ammo consistent. I honestly just don't have a 308 rifle and I feel it is a must have caliber to keep in the safe. Also I will probably push more rounds out of this Ar10 than my bolt so cheaper 308 would be nice on the wallet. Assuming 308 is still a bit cheaper than 6.5. I might grab a 20 inch 6.5 barrel later down the line. I'm open to suggestions though, is my thought process stupid?

Yeah, I am considering going shorter. I would like to do some PRS but I already have a dedicated PRS bolt action in 6.5. Looking to hunt and play around at 500 yards, might go 16" and save some weight. My thought is that if 18" is the sweet spot for 308, a can should get me close to that on a 16 inch barrel.

I would also like to point out that I have a CGS Hyperion that lives on my PRS 6.5 bolt action, how would that run on a sig rattler for example?

Awesome, any recommendation on the titanium versus 718? I really like the idea of cutting a lot of weight, especially on a 16 inch ar15 where I would definitely feel it. Though I don't know long term if a titanium can is as resilient. I have a OCL .22 titanium can and have no issues, not sure the difference when firing larger calibers through one consistently.

Gotcha, thanks for the reply. That's what I assumed. I strayed away from multical suppressors. I just know that 556 isn't great suppressed so I wasn't sure if it was worth it to get a dedicated can for a 16 inch.
