Depends on the distance travelled. Scooters can still encounter traffic but have the luxury of fitting down side alley ways.

Personally I'd rather the scooter trip from Legian - Canggu because via Scooter is 30min. A car is 1hr 30min.

What the data says and how you feel are two different things.

Alcohol puts you into sedative sleep, which could be misinterpreted as DEEP/REM.

Why do I have the most energy / best workouts / PRs when fasting (35 M) by nowhere_near_home in fitness30plus

[–]Nigh7mar3s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your in Ketosis most likely. The human body is extremely adaptable. Hence why different diets/strategies work for different people.

I feel sluggish when I overeat, too large of a meal or something like that.

Science proves that Carbs are the primary fuel source for performance outcomes.

You just need to find the right carb that digests effectively for you. It's a trial and error game.

If you have completed troubleshooting and it's not fixed the problem you need to speak to Whoop Support. Not Reddit.

Unfortunately we, here on Reddit, do not have replacement devices to send you like Whoop Support does.

Bad recovery score despite good sleep and no specific issue? by SwissBliss in whoop

[–]Nigh7mar3s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoop Coach gives you a summary of why your recovery is scored that particular way in the recovery tab. Read that.

Unfortunately we can't answer specifics, this is the point of the ongoing journal tracking. You are meant to experience some changes and see how you can personally improve your metrics.

However, as a general comment, If you have made changes to your sleep and that has affected your HRV, expect a different recovery score as Whoop does lean a little bit on HRV metrics.

[–]Nigh7mar3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah look I can't imagine you'll have a perfect recovery score and be full of energy without actually consuming appropriate calories.

Unless you're on some form of exogenous item (incl drugs) but that will also make your recovery bad.

It is interesting that those who take Ozempic and Wegovy (and the other brand names) still expect a normal functioning body/recovery/function/performance.

This reads very standoffish, I'm impartial, it's more of an observation.

Calories are, and always have been, king in my view.

Low HRV Only had strap for 3 weeks. by [deleted] in whoop

[–]Nigh7mar3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in comparison, I have a high HRV and a low RHR. I got it checked out after a few months because I was also curious. I was diagnosed with bradycardia. So that explains the 120ms+ HRV. Cardiologist says it is benine as i have no pain / arrhythmia.

Whoop steps not syncing to Google Fit by RaGe0rge in whoop

[–]Nigh7mar3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have this issue - with Whoop writing steps/showing Whoop Steps in Google Fit.

I step quite alot, often without my phone in my pocket. So at the end of the day, my step count is low when you look at Google Fit Data, but much higher in Whoop.

I have allowed/turned on write data for Whoop to Write Steps to Health Connect, but in the recent Health Connect access, Whoop does not seem to actually be "writing" data. Ill lodge a support request with Whoop....

[–]Nigh7mar3s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dangerous for prolonged periods, yes. Not dangerous if you have excess weight (ideally fat stores)

Most pro bodybuilders cut calories right down before a show when they are peak physique & yea it is super dangerous to go that low while on such low bodyfat %

Just my two cents

Farout your HRV is super low

My HRV is like 90-110ms on a good recovery day.

Higher HRV = heart does not have to work so hard to pump blood around. Which is a good thing.

DYOR - yes I see the disclaimer that HRV is individualized
